2000 will be remembered as a breakthrough year for Luther Barnes. For the last 18 years he's been steadily building a music ministry through constant touring averaging 200 shows a year, and recording albums for Atlanta International Records. Lord I'm Here Waiting will be the 19th of his illustrious career.

This will be the follow-up to the hugely successful, and still selling, Heaven On My Mind, by Luther Barnes & The Sunset Jubilaires. It's hard to believe it's been over three years since its release because Luther's profile has remained high with the release of God's Promise by Luther Barnes & The Red Budd Gospel Choir and A Live Reunion by The Barnes Family.

Still a young man, Luther Barnes has already created a legacy of memorable songs and performances to last a lifetime and beyond. Projects like I'm Still Holding On, That Other Shore, So Satisfied, God's Promise, and Heaven On My Mind give proof to that fact, and Lord I'm Here Waiting will build on that legacy.

Luther and the Sunset Jubilaires will be on the road leading into this release and continuing through out the year. The group's legions of fans have been asking for a new album, and radio has always responded quickly to anything new from Luther. And speaking of new, coming late in the year will be the first solo project from Luther Barnes. This project has been in the "we need to do this one day" mode for several years, and that day has finally come. Our commitment at AIR Gospel is to bring the talents of Luther Barnes to a larger audience by seeing Lord I'm Here Waiting become the biggest album yet from Luther Barnes & The Sunset Jubilaires and to serve as an ideal lead-in for Luther's solo project.
