Timmy - the cat with the crumpled ear and six-and-a-half senses - desperately wants to join Badger's the Mystical Mutt's gang, but no cat has ever been allowed to join the notorious all-dog group. To help him, Badger needs to visit Crystal Cave, but the Wim-Wim is suffering from a crumpled crankshaft and is going nowhere. Can Badger make alternative travel arrangements?

It was a quarter past midsummer. In a garden, next to a lane, Badger the Mystical Mutt had gathered all the ingredients for his fabulous new spell. Meanwhile, in the lane at the bottom of the garden, all was not well. Hamish, the floppy-eared spaniel, was running for his life.

It's the night of the gang re-union party and a dense fog has descended on the Lane. But there's something and someone missing - Badger's prized neckerchief, and Pickle's best pal, Pogo Paws.

A mysterious and extremely whiffy smell has caused the Pong Police to close the lane at the bottom of Badger's garden. Now Cheryl has nowhere to practice her dancing. Badger must save the day.
