Thriving in College with ADHD uses cognitive-behavioral and psychoeducational techniques to address ADHD and related impairment in a way that is tailored to the needs of college students. Other books for college students with ADHD only describe personal experiences or just give advice, but this workbook promotes learning through interactive exercises and behavioral practice. It will allow you to address issues most relevant to your needs at whatever pace feels right. Modules are designed to be engaging, digestible, and activity-oriented. With practice, you will come away with improved skills that will help you to succeed in college, and to live your best life. This workbook can be used on its own; however, an accompanying Thriving in College guide for therapists uses an approach that mirrors what you will be learning and doing. In den letzten J ahren sind im deutschsprachigen Schrifttum eine Reihe von kurzgefa. Bten trbersichten der Infektionskrankheiten erschienen, sei es als selb- standige "Fibeln", sei es als Abschnitte in den Lehrbuchern der Inneren Medizin und Kinderheilkunde. Fur den Arzt in der Klinik und Praxis aber, wie fur den Mikrobiologen sind sie vielfach unbefriedigend, da manche dieser Darstellungen nur kompendiumartig die Historie, die Epidemiologie, die Besonderheiten der Mikro- ben, ihre Beziehung zum befallenen Organismus, die Klinik und die zahlreichen Komplikationen des Grundleidens beriihren und auch die modernen Forschungs- ergebnisse nur teilweise Berucksichtigung finden. In diesem III. Band der "Infek- tionskrankheiten" des Springer-Verlages, der an die IV. Auflage des Handbuchs der Inneren Medizin aus dem Jahre 1952 anschlie. Bt, haben wir uns deshalb bemuht, die Besonderheiten der zu besprechenden mikrobiell-bedingten Leiden in einer gewissen Breite und damit monographisch darzulegen. Nur so erscheint es uns moglich, auch fiir den praktisch tatigen Arzt die Auskunft zu geben, die er am Krankenbett in der Begegnung mit diesen Krankheiten notwendig braucht. Die Anordnung der Beitrage erfolgte wieder gleichma. Big. Definition, Ge- schichte, Erreger, pathologische Anatomie, Pathogenese, Epidemiologie, klini- sches Bild mit Prognose und Therapie wurden in diesem Band fiir das ausgedehnte Gebiet der Mykosen, die an Bedeutung stark zugenommen haben, dargestellt. Die allgemeine Mykologie, sofern sie den Arzt betrifft, wurde der Wiedergabe der zahlreichen klinischen Krankheitsbilder vorangestellt.
