These are stories written for my great-grand children. It is my hope that they will cherish them forever and read them to their own children. I hope you enjoy the stories here as much as I enjoyed writing them.

When the white man first came to the Miwok village where Anak lived they killed everyone; that is, everyone except a handful of children who escaped into the forest. Along with the children of another tribe met with the same fate, Anak builds a combined tribe and takes to the trees for protection.
