First Published in 1961 Russia Forty Years On presents a comparative overview of Russian history from the Tsarist days to the Stalin Era. Morgan Philips Price looks back on Russia over a period of fifty years - the Tsarist time, the First World War, the October Revolution, and the time of Stalin; and describes his last visit there in the autumn of 1959. Though the book is mainly about Russia there are two chapters at the end about Germany and especially about that part which was under Russian influence. Having seen Russian Communism in its homeland, author compares it with what can be seen of it in Central Europe. This book will be an interesting read for scholars and researchers of Russian history, Communist history, and European history.

First Published in 1936 America After Sixty Years presents the travel diaries of two generations of Englishmen, W. E. Price, and his son M. Philips Price. Part I of the book contains W. E. Price's American journey and throws light on topics like undercurrents of Canadian politics; life in Chicago just before the great fire; journey to the Yosemite Valley etc. Part II of the book deals with W. E Price and his wife's American tour in 1878 and Part III is about M. Philips Price's own journey to America with his wife during the New Deal. In Facing Cancer and the Fear of Death: A Psychoanalytic Perspective on Treatment, Dr. Norman Straker proposes that "death anxiety" is responsible for the American society's failure to address costly futile care at the end of life; more specifically, doctors default on the appropriate prescription of palliative care because of this anxiety. This leads to unnecessary suffering for terminally-ill patients and their families and significant distress for physicians. To address these challenges in the culture of medical education, increased psychological support for physicians who treat dying patients is necessary. Additionally, physicians need to reach a consensus regarding the discontinuation of active treatments. Psychoanalysts have traditionally denied the importance of death anxiety and report relatively few treatment cases of dying patients in their literature. Die Grunde, die zur Abtrennung der Abschnitte "Formen und Giessen" und damit zur Teilung des zweiten Bandes (Betriebstechnik) der ersten Auflage dieses Handbuches gefuhrt haben, sind bereits im Vorwort zum zweiten Band der zweiten Auflage dargelegt worden. So sind aus den drei Banden, auf die das ganze Werk ursprunglich angelegt war, deren vier geworden, und es wird der sich in Vorbereitung befindende vierte Band mit seinem in der Hauptsache den Entwurf von Giessereianlagen, die Kalkulation der Gussstucke und die Organisation der Giesserei angehenden Inhalt den Schlussband bilden. Der grossere Rest des zweiten Bandes der ersten Auflage ist im vorliegenden dritten Bande "Schmelzen, Nacharbeiten und Nebenbetriebe" zusammengefasst. Auch hier galt es, die zahlreichen Neuerungen des letzten Jahrzehnts ihrer Bedeutung gemass zu berucksichtigen, gleichzeitig den von der Kritik bei der ersten Auflage ausgesprochenen Wunschen gerecht zu werden, sowie die in abgerundeter Form geschriebenen Einzel abhandlungen aufeinander abzustimmen. Hinzugekommen sind die Abschnitte uber Warme behandlung von Stahlguss (X) und uber Schweissen von Gusseisen- und Stahlguss stucken (XI)."
