The Government of India (GoI) is concentrating on transforming India under the Digital India initiative. This book constitutes the refereed conference proceedings of the 16th IFIP WG 6.11 Conference on e-Business, e-Services and e-Society, I3E 2017, held in Delhi, India, in November 2017. This is an edited book based on the selected submissions made to the conference titled "International Conference in Smart Cities". The project provides an innovative and new approach to holistic management of cities physical, socio-economic, environmental, transportation and political assets across all domains, typically supported by ICT and open data.
