A four year Electrical and Electronic engineering curriculum normally contains two modules of electromagnetic field theories during the first two years. However, some curricula do not have enough slots to accommodate the two modules. This book, Electromagnetic Field Theories, is designed for Electrical and Electronic engineering undergraduate students to provide fundamental knowledge of electromagnetic fields and waves in a structured manner. A comprehensive fundamental knowledge of electric and magnetic fields is required to understand the working principles of generators, motors and transformers. This knowledge is also necessary to analyze transmission lines, substations, insulator flashover mechanism, transient phenomena, etc. Recently, academics and researches are working for sending electrical power to a remote area by designing a suitable antenna. In this case, the knowledge of electromagnetic fields is considered as important tool.
This book provides electrical and electronic engineering undergraduate and graduate students and trainees with practical information on grounding-system parameters, and on different methods for measuring soil resistivity and ground resistance. It also presents some real-world studies, which enhance the learning experience. It discusses electromagnetic field theories to explain ground resistance modeling using different sizes of electrodes. Furthermore it includes CYME GRD software for simulation of soil resistivity and grounding grid design, and considers some fundamental concepts of power systems to clarify other topics related to the grounding system.
This book is designed as an introductory course for undergraduate students, in Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical and Petroleum engineering, who need fundamental knowledge of electrical circuits. Worked out examples have been presented after discussing each theory. Practice problems have also been included to enrich the learning experience of the students and professionals. PSpice and Multisim software packages have been included for simulation of different electrical circuit parameters. A number of exercise problems have been included in the book to aid faculty members.
This book covers the basics of DC circuits, AC circuits, three-phase power to understand the basics and controls of electro-hydraulics and electro-pneumatics. This book covers detailed knowledge on the fluid power properties, Bernoulli's equation, Torricelli's theorem, viscosity, viscosity index, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic valves, hydraulic motors, pressure control valves, pneumatic systems, pneumatic cylinders, different types of gas laws, valve actuation, relay, magnetic contactor, different types of switches, logic gates, electro-pneumatic control circuits with different options and introduction to PLC. In addition, the detailed technique of Automation Studio software, different types of simulation circuits with hydraulics, pneumatics and electro-pneumatic are included. This book will be an excellent textbook for electromechanical, robotics, mechatronics, electrical control and mechanical students as well as for the professional who practices fluid power systems.
This book covers the topic from introductory to advanced levels for undergraduate students of Electrical Power and related fields, and for professionals who need a fundamental grasp of power systems engineering. The book also analyses and simulates selected power circuits using appropriate software, and includes a wealth of worked-out examples and practice problems to enrich readers' learning experience. In addition, the exercise problems provided can be used in teaching courses.

During the last decades, a vertical exploration of statistical methodology in the ground of longitudinal data has been observed. One of the most exciting developments in this area is the Generalized Estimating Equation (GEE). This is a widely used approach that does not require the complete specification of the joint distribution of repeated measurements. In addition, GEE takes into account which results in attaining more efficiency in estimating parameters of marginal models. The model used in this study was developed by Barnhart & Williamson (1998). To test the goodness-of-fit we have applied model based and empirically corrected tests according to their implication. In their suggested GEE approach the correlation between two responses was not considered. Here an alternative procedure is proposed based on GEE where the correlation between two responses was considered. This study has also indicated that the model with only main effects did not fit the data well. There is a significant region, time and interaction effect. The identity correlation structure provides most efficient estimates to represent the relationship among the covariates and the responses.
