Short Poetry, is poetry that utilizes only a few lines to express the poets beliefs, experiences, or acumen about a specific topic. I write Short Poetry utilizing almost every category of poetry classification from... just thoughts, spiritual, personal, society, love, and so many others. Short Poetry makes a statement and may be from most poetic genre including, Haiku and Quotation.

The years as they pass, like the orange blossom and the rose in the purest hope of spring; rise to create a new beginning. My yearning heart exalts in celebration of lost years end, leaping for joy at the whisper of your name. As evening descends, shaded by the great eagle's wing, I am calmed by the love I carry into the twilight of my heart, and hold warmly within my soul I am filled with hope that I may dry your tears through solace, rejoicing, as a new era of love and understanding overshadows the past and brightens a future renewed. Standing in the hushed twilight, before frogs begin to sing, I listen to the last ship's bell signal the wane of day. My exuberant heart beats as to leap from my chest. I wait in the crystal moonlight that reunites family so we may go as one in search of the glorious future that awaits father and son

What Is Patriotism? Patriotism is devoted love, support, and defense of one's country. The poetry contained within is patriotic and in support of our founding fathers and the military...those who take the brunt of the blame. I believe in today's society, the foundation of Patriotism may be a little stressed; but is always present therefore, to question why is not indicative of bigotry or hatred; to question why is our responsibility.

Interchanging Poetry is a narrative combining poetry with discussion, debate, dialog, or description; using the poetry to emphasize the narrative. It is a new form of poetry developing interchanging literary devices to enhance poetic discourse. Generally, writers will incorporate a poem into their article, publication, or book to make a point or site as a reference. This is common practice giving the author of the poetry proper credit. This is not a common practice with poets, who write specific forms of poetry following established poetic format. Often, poets wish they had a methodology to explain why they wrote a particular poem or as a follow up to their thought process in creating the poem. When you write using the Interchanging Poetry format, you extend your ability to expound on the meaning behind the words written as poetic expression; giving the reader a greater insight into the wonderful world of what the mind conceived and has achieved through poetry.
