This book presents innovative breakthroughs in Operational
Excellence that can solve the operational issues of smart
factories. The book illustrates various tools and techniques of
Lean Six Sigma 4.0 and details their suitability for manufacturing
and service systems. Lean Six Sigma 4.0 for Operational Excellence
Under the Industry 4.0 Transformation provides technological
advancement in Operational Excellence and offers a framework to
integrate Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0. The book facilitates
industrial managers in dealing with new operational challenges and
explains how to use Industrial IoT, Sensors, and AI to collect
real-time data on the shop floor. While focusing on developing a
toolset for Lean Six Sigma 4.0, this book also presents the
enabling factors to adopt Lean Six Sigma 4.0 in the manufacturing
and service sectors. The book goes on to explain how to deploy Lean
Six Sigma 4.0 in the industry 4.0 era and guides practitioners, and
researchers on the path of process improvement in modern-day
industries.
The book describes developments on some well-known problems
regarding the relationship between orders of finite groups and that
of their automorphism groups. It is broadly divided into three
parts: the first part offers an exposition of the fundamental exact
sequence of Wells that relates automorphisms, derivations and
cohomology of groups, along with some interesting applications of
the sequence. The second part offers an account of important
developments on a conjecture that a finite group has at least a
prescribed number of automorphisms if the order of the group is
sufficiently large. A non-abelian group of prime-power order is
said to have divisibility property if its order divides that of its
automorphism group. The final part of the book discusses the
literature on divisibility property of groups culminating in the
existence of groups without this property. Unifying various ideas
developed over the years, this largely self-contained book includes
results that are either proved or with complete references
provided. It is aimed at researchers working in group theory, in
particular, graduate students in algebra.
The book is an attempt to view of agriculture in the South-East
part of the Punjab Province during the Colonial Rule and identify
the broad trends in agriculture. This area had a distinct identity
as a sub-region and being predominated by agriculture and has been
seen as 'backward' in comparison to the rest of the Punjab
Province. No systematic and detailed study of this area during this
period has been undertaken so far and the political experience of
this area has been different and rather bitter because of its
earlier annexation in 1803, whereas the other area of Punjab was
annexed in 1849.This was clearly underlined in the policy of
Colonial State after 1857 revolt;because the people of this area
had enthusiastically participated in this revolt.Hence, present
attempt aims at the detailed study of this area for the complete
understanding of political, social and economic history of the
South-East Punjab. The book mainly traces the introduction and
agricultural geography of the area, agrarian society, British
agrarian policy and agricultural development. The present book is an
endeavor to put a match to the expectations of mainly students,
teachers, social scientists and agriculturists.
