These Proceedings cover various topics in modern physics in which
group theoretical methods can be applied effectively. The two
volumes, containing over 100 papers, cover such areas as
representation theory, the theory and applications of dynamical
symmetries and coherent states, symmetries in atomic, molecular,
nuclear and elementary particle physics, field theory including
gauge theories, supersymmetry and supergravity, general relativity
and cosmology, the theory of space groups and its applications to
solid state physics and phase transitions, the problems of quantum
and classical mechanics and paraxial optics, and the theory of
nonlinear equations and solitons.
The term 'nonclassical states' refers to the quantum states which cannot be produced in the 'usual' sources of light, such as lasers or lamps, rather than those requiring more sophisticated apparatus for their production. This book describes the current status of the theory of nonclassical states of light including many new and important results as well as introductory material and the history of the subject. The authors concentrate on the most important types of nonclassical states, namely squeezed, even/odd ('Schrodinger cat') and binomial states, including their generalisations. However, a review of other types of nonclassical is also given in the introduction, and methods for generating nonclassical states on various processes of light-matter interaction, their phase-space description, and the time evolution of nonclassical states in these processes is presented in separate chapters. This contributed volume contains all of the necessary formulae and references required to gain a good understanding of the principles and current status of the field. It will provide a valuable information resource for advanced students and researchers in quantum physics.

Juno Mak directs this horror starring Anthony Chan and Chin Siu-ho.
When former actor Chin (Siu-ho) finds himself feeling suicidal
after his wife announces she is leaving him, he decides to move to
an apartment where he can be alone. Finally succumbing to
depression, Chin ends his life by tying a noose around his neck and
hanging himself from the ceiling. When the ghosts that haunt the
tenement building discover Chin's corpse they exorcise the spirits
and possess his body, making haste to bridge the gap between the
world of the living and the world of the dead.
