Since the time when interactive television emerged as a medium for the home environment, ithasbeenpermanentlyevolving.Changingrequirementsanduser behavior, e.g., the demand for being mobile and have access to information and entertainmentanywhereandanytime, arechallenginginteractiveTV.Newkinds of interactive services have to be conceived for the increasing mobile, ubiquitous requirements of the di?erent user groups. In these changing environments, a better understanding of emerging contexts and their implications is essential. This gave birth to the idea for the theme of the EuroITV 2008 Conference: "Changing Television Environments." EuroITV 2008, the 6th edition of the - ropean Conference on Interactive Television, was organized and hosted by the HCI and Usability Unit, ICT&S Center, University of Salzburg, Austria. The EuroITV Conference Series started at Brighton University in 2003 and 2004. It was followed by Aalborg University in 2005, Athens University of Economics and Business in 2006 and by CWI (Centrum Voor Wiskunde en Informatica) in Amsterdam 2007. We would like to thank all former Chairs for making this greatconference series happen andfor providing us with the opportunity to host EuroITV 2008.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First European Conference on Ambient Intelligence, AmI 2007, held in Darmstadt, Germany, in November 2007. The 17 revised full papers presented together with 5 research reports were carefully reviewed and selected from 48 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on mobility and sensing, applications of AmI, activity and location sensing, AmI and artificial intelligence, AmI middleware and infrastructure, and interaction with the environment. The book is rounded off by a section on case studies and lessons learned, presenting a high level selection of current research reports and papers that reflect the most important activities of current ambient intelligence research.
Scientists and engineers from industry, academia, and major research institutes from 19 countries contributed to the Vienna Conference on Human Computer Interaction (VCHCI '93). This volume contains the proceedings of the conference. Only submissions of the highest scientific quality were accepted as papers, and all contributions address the latest research and application in the human aspects of design and use of computing systems. The papers cover a large field of human computer interaction including design, evaluation, interactive architectures, cognitive models, workplace environment, and HCI application areas. The motto of the conference, Fin de Si cle, affiliates Vienna's intellectual tradition to the field's progressive development at the end of this century. The VCHCI is focused on showing that HCI is more than an area to beautify interaction with computers, provokes disputes among its different contributing fields, does not flee the vital questions forpeople using computers, and provides radically new opportunities for users.

The papers are grouped in topical sections on individual differences, theoretical reflections, prevention and motivation, methods and models, games and gamification, interventions for behavior change, and design strategies and techniques.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third European Conference on Ambient Intelligence, AmI 2009, held in Salzburg, Austria, in November 2009. The 21 revised full papers and 10 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions for inclusion in the book. The papers are organized in topical sections on sensing, reasoning and sensing, ambient technology, ambient assisted living, applications and studies, methods and tools and reasoning and adaption.
