This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of
the Third International Conference on AI-assisted Solutions for
COVID-19 and Biometrical Applications in Smart Cities, AISCOVID-19
2022, held in November 2022 in Braga, Portugal. The 8 full papers
of AISCOVID-19 2022 were carefully selected from 21 submissions and
present a comprehensive and up-to-date look at the intersection of
COVID-19, big data, machine learning, deep learning, and
healthcare. The theme of AISCOVID-19 2022 was Healthcare effective
and efficient Solutions for COVID-19 that can be achieved using
Artificial Intelligence and Computer-Assisted paradigms.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th
Portuguese Conference on Artificial Intelligence, EPIA 2007, held
in GuimarAes, Portugal, in December 2007 as eleven integrated
workshops.
The 58 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and
selected from a total of 210 submissions. In accordance with the
eleven constituting workshops, the papers are organized in topical
sections on general artificial intelligence (GAIW 2007), AI
applications for sustainable transportation systems (AIASTS 2007),
artificial life and evolutionary algorithms (ALEA 2007), ambient
intelligence technologies and applications (AMITA 2007), building
and applying ontologies for the semantic Web (BAOSW 2007), business
intelligence (BI 2007), computational methods in bioinformatics and
systems biology (CMBSB 2007), intelligent robotics (IROBOT 2007),
multi-agent systems: theory and applications (MASTA 2007), search
techniques for constraint satisfaction (STCS 2007), and text mining
and applications (TEMA 2007).
DCAI 2022 is a forum to present applications of innovative
techniques for studying and solving complex problems in artificial
intelligence and computing areas. The present edition brings
together past experience, current work and promising future trends
associated with distributed computing, artificial intelligence and
their application in order to provide efficient solutions to real
problems. This year's technical program will present both high
quality and diversity, with contributions in well-established and
evolving areas of research. Specifically, 46 papers were submitted,
by authors from 28 different countries representing a truly "wide
area network" of research activity. The DCAI'22 Special Sessions
technical program has selected 22 papers (12 full papers) and, as
in past editions, it will be special issues in ranked journals.
This symposium is organized by the University of L'Aquila (Italy).
We would like to thank all the contributing authors, the members of
the Program Committee and the sponsors (IBM, Indra, Dipartimento di
Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione e Matematica dell'Universita
degli Studi dell'Aquila, Armundia Group, Whitehall Reply, T.C.
Technologies And Comunication S.R.L., LCL Industria Grafica, AIR
Institute, AEPIA, APPIA).
This book contains articles on innovative biotechnologies for the
production and application of biopolymers and their derivatives in
various industries. The conference "Intelligent Biotechnologies of
Natural and Synthetic Biologically Active Substances: XIII
Narochanskie Readings" took place on the base of Belarussian State
University (Republic of Belarus, Minsk) and North Caucasus Federal
University (Russian Federation, Stavropol) on December 1-3, 2021.
The general scope of the book is current issues of biologically
active substances (BAS) recovery and preparation methods
development and their application in medicine, pharmaceutics, and
functional nutrition. A number of original articles are devoted to
the actual problems of BAS obtaining and application. A significant
part of articles is related to the production of BAS nanocomplexes.
Much attention is paid to promising areas of healthy foods
biotechnology development and food safety. The book intends to
readership specializing in the field of searching for new sources
of BAS for their practical use in the framework of innovative
pharmaceuticals and functional foods development
This book highlights the latest research on distributed computing
and artificial intelligence. DCAI 2021 is a forum to present
applications of innovative techniques for studying and solving
complex problems in artificial intelligence and computing areas.
The present edition brings together past experience, current work
and promising future trends associated with distributed computing,
artificial intelligence and their application in order to provide
efficient solutions to real problems. This year's technical program
will present both high quality and diversity, with contributions in
well-established and evolving areas of research. Specifically, 55
papers were submitted to main track and special sessions, by
authors from 24 different countries representing a truly "wide area
network" of research activity. Moreover, DCAI 2021 Special Sessions
have been a very useful tool in order to complement the regular
program with new or emerging topics of particular interest to the
participating community. The technical program of the Special
Sessions of DCAI 2021 has selected 23 papers. We would like to
thank all the contributing authors, the members of the Program
Committees, the sponsors (IBM, Armundia Group, EurAI, AEPIA, APPIA,
CINI, OIT, UGR, HU, SCU, USAL, AIR Institute and UNIVAQ) and the
Organizing Committee of the University of Salamanca for their hard
and highly valuable work.
