The goal of this volume is to provide access to selected works from Latin-American collaborators and their research networks to a wider audience. En este libro se clarifica el concepto de estudio de caso, analizar su origen historico en el campo de las ciencias sociales, reconocer su fundamento epistemologico, investigar su estructura argumentativa, delimitar sus criterios, procedimientos internos de trabajo en la investigacion y establecer una propuesta de aplicacion a nivel de la etica. Su importancia radica en una estructura ideal, de acuerdo a lo expuesto en el libro, que permita al investigador -que decida utilizar el Estudio de Caso- a llevarlo a cabo de manera clara y sistematica, cuidando la confiabilidad y validez de la investigacion.

El texto, muestra los resultados de un ejercicio de investigacion en el que se evaluaron atributos e intencion de compra de una marca de vestidos de banos (Ks, Passion for the sun) a traves de una encuesta electronica publicada en el sitio web www.inpsicon.com, la cual era autoadministrada por los usuarios del sitio que deseaban ingresar al espacio y/o personas que fueron invitadas a participar por correo electronico. La novedad de la herramienta es uno de los elementos que da mayores insumos a esta investigacion, dado que en el campo de la psicologia del consumidor es cada vez mas necesario incursionar en metodos y tecnicas novedosos que atraigan y se adapten al consumidor segun sea el momento historico en que este se encuentre, esto ademas de facilitar la participacion incide en la optimizacion de recursos y tiempo sin sacrificar desde ningun punto de vista la calidad. Por otra parte, con este estudio se han obtenido resultados importantes para contribuir desde la psicologia el consumidor a la evolucion de una marca joven, KS, Passion for the sun.
