The most important idea of this book is that currently, the therapy
of the patients with chronic viral B or C hepatitis remain yet a
problem open for research because the solution for these patients
is far from being found. This book contains many clinical cases
from my medical practice about the most important side effects of
therapy with Interferon and Ribavarin on patients with active
chronic hepatitis with virus B or C positive. The conclusion is
that the principle side effects of this therapy are more dangerous
compared to the benefits and this is the reason that I believe with
strong opinion that in the future this therapy needs to be
substituted with other drugs. The balance between the risks and
benefits should be seriously taken into account. This therapeutics
protocols must be reevaluated in the medical practice for the
benefit of our patients.
