Das zunehmende Interesse der Bevlkerung am Sport verhalf dem Sponsoring, in Kombination mit dem ebenfalls zunehmenden Medieninteresse, zu einem ungeheuer schnellen Wachstum. Diese Tatsachen zwangen den Sport, respektive den Fuball mit dem gesamten Umfeld mit zu wachsen. Hierbei stellen die Schlagwrter Professionalisierung" sowie Kommerzialisierung" die entscheidenden Entwicklungen dar.
