Los problemas de aproximacion son frecuentes en distintas actividades. Analisis de regresion, aproximacion polinomial son ejemplos conocidos. Este trabajo, que ahora se transforma en libro, es mi tesis de maestria y pretende ahondar sobre el problema de aproximacion en espacios mas generales. Establece algunos resultados nuevos, seguramente deja abiertos muchos mas, pero lo publico con el afan de que llegue a mentes avidas de refutacion. Puede servir a quienes hagan Analisis Numerico para mejorar sus metodos de calculo. Puede servir a quienes hagan Analisis Teorico para generalizar alguno o todos los resultados. Yo, en particular, querria que fuese de alguna utilidad a los alumnos de Licenciatura en Matematica que se embarcan en el dificil camino de que investigar? y les muestre una rama de la matematica que puede parecer muy arida, pero que en realidad es muy fertil. Ojala sirva al menos para despertar la curiosidad de un estudiante. Con eso, el objetivo de este libro estara cumplido."
