Erneuerbare Energien spielen fur das Erreichen der im Kyoto-Protokoll vereinbarten CO2-Reduktionsziele eine zentrale Rolle. Daher hat sich die Bundesregierung im Rahmen ihrer nationalen Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie das Ziel gesetzt, den Anteil erneuerbarer Energien am Gesamtenergieverbrauch zu steigern.
