As humans re-negotiate their boundaries with the nonhuman world of
animals, inanimate entities and technological artefacts, new
identities are formed and a new epistemological and ethical
approach to reality is needed. Through twelve thought-provoking,
scholarly essays, this volume analyzes works by a range of modern
and contemporary Italian authors, from Giacomo Leopardi to Elena
Ferrante, who have captured the shift from anthropocentrism and
postmodernism to posthumanism. Indeed, this is the first academic
volume investigating narrative configurations of posthuman identity
in Italian literature and film.
The book examines a wide range of issues that characterize the
current IT based innovation trends in organisations. It contains a
collection of research papers focusing on themes of growing
interest in the field of Information System, Organization Studies,
and Management. The book offers a multi-disciplinary view on
Information Systems aiming to disseminate academic knowledge. It
might be particularly relevant to IT practitioners such as
information systems managers, business managers and IT consultants.
The volume is divided into XIV sections, each one focusing on a
specific theme. A preface written by Joey George, president of the
Association for Information Systems opens the text. The content of
each section is based on a selection of the best papers (original
double blind peer reviewed contributions) presented at the annual
conference of the Italian chapter of AIS, which has been held in
Naples, Italy, on October 2010.

The digital transformation is impacting various aspects of how we
live and work. Due to the pervasive effects of the digital
revolution on firms and societies, both scholars and practitioners
are interested in better understanding the key mechanisms behind
the related challenges. This book presents a collection of research
papers focusing on the relationships between technologies (e.g.
artificial intelligence, social media, and the Internet of Things)
and behaviours (e.g. social learning, knowledge sharing, and
decision-making). Moreover, it provides insights into how the
digital transformation may improve quality of personal life and
work life within public and private organisations. The plurality of
views offered makes this book particularly relevant for
practitioners, companies, scientists, and governments. It gathers a
selection of the best papers - original double-blind peer-reviewed
contributions - presented at the annual conference of the Italian
chapter of the AIS which was held in Naples, Italy, in September
2019.

Domingo Notaro's poems struggle to fix an innocent gaze on a
contemporary world that appears more and more fraught with
inhumanity and cruelty. They explore themes of exile, fertility,
the human body's connection to the wider cosmos, and the corrupting
influence of power. Often literally scattered across the page, the
poems compel the reader to become an active participant in a quest
for sense and meaning. "Halfway between lucid vision and prophetic
hallucination, Notaro's poems seem to lean over the edge of an
infinite vacuum-terrifying, at times, like the undifferentiated
darkness of an Hegelian night, or overwhelmingly beautiful like the
azure depth of a blue sky."
