The complete Japanese anime series set in a future world where humans have been forced to live in underground villages by an evil ruler. Friends Simon (voice of Tetsuya Kakihara) and Kamina (Katsuyuki Konishi) are part of a gang called Team Gurren, who are attempting to reach the surface of the Earth. When a Gunman begins to attack their village, the two boys meet a girl from above named Yoko (Marina Inoue), and the trio join forces to fight their way to the world overhead. Earth is full of enemy Gunmen, however, and defeating them proves to be a very dangerous mission... When transfer student Ougi Oshino (voice of Kaori Mizuhashi) arrives at Naoetsu Private High she immediately seeks out third year student Koyomi Araragi (Hiroshi Kamiya) in the hope that he can help solve the mystery behind a strange discovery she has made. After studying plans of the school, Ougi notices a secret classroom which is not listed on the blueprints. However, when Koyomi joins her to investigate, he soon realises the room is linked to a number of troubling memories from his past.
