Jon Turteltaub directs this all-star buddy comedy following four
past-their-prime friends out to set the Vegas strip alight on a
four-night stag party. When last-bachelor-standing Billy (Michael
Douglas) informs his lifelong buddies Paddy (Robert De Niro),
Archie (Morgan Freeman), and Sam (Kevin Klein) that he's finally
getting hitched, the four friends decide to head off to Las Vegas
to act anything but their age for one last time. But once they hit
the streets, the boys soon discover that things have changed a lot
since their glory days, and that for the old-school thrill seekers,
the party has only just begun.

Ecumenical examination of immigration issues drawn from engaging,
first-person narratives. A group of bishops (Catholic, Episcopal,
Lutheran, and United Methodist), all based along the US-Mexico
border, found common ground to jointly address some key immigration
issues, especially those being played out in the state of Arizona.
The bishops worked together on behalf of local immigrant
populations to address theological and pastoral concerns and prayed
for those whose lives were being directly affected. This book grows
out of their shared work and the relationships that developed among
them."
Coaching psychology is a distinct branch of academic and applied
psychology that focuses on enhancement of performance, development
and wellbeing in the broader population. In Coaching Psychology in
Schools, Mark Adams demonstrates how psychological principles and
approaches can be applied in schools to enhance the performance of
education practitioners, teams and settings, with corresponding
benefits for the children under their care. Coaching Psychology in
Schools aims to put psychology in the hands of the reader,
imparting psychology-informed coaching strategies that can enhance
effectiveness in supporting others to learn, change and develop.
The book challenges traditional notions of how psychology can
contribute to education and illustrates how better outcomes for
children can be achieved by helping adults to unlock and utilise
their resources. The book covers how coaching psychology can be
applied to: Develop classroom practice Improve teacher performance
Support Continuing Professional Development Enhance practitioner
and team performance, confidence and wellbeing Support practical
problem-solving Develop individual and organisational resilience
Real-life case examples are used throughout to illustrate practical
coaching methods and techniques that are underpinned by established
psychological approaches, including solution-focused coaching,
cognitive-behavioural coaching, motivational interviewing and many
more. Coaching Psychology in Schools will be essential reading for
coaches, psychologists, and education practitioners who have an
interest or investment in helping others to move forward, including
school leaders, teacher coaches, CPD co-ordinators, advisors and
consultants. It will also be of interest to those working in other
professional contexts who are interested in finding out more about
coaching psychology and its potential applications.

Who is Mike Hodges? One of the great maverick British film-makers.
A director who is uncompromising and willing to fight his corner,
he has made films over the last three decades that mark him out as
a rare and unusual talent. He is a difficult film-maker to define.
His work includes crime drama (Get Carter, Croupier and Pulp),
science-fiction (Flash Gordon and The Terminal Man) and even comedy
(Morons from Outer Space), but he has also made watchable oddities
such as A Prayer for the Dying (Mickey Rourke courting controversy
as an IRA killer seeking redemption) and Black Rainbow (a surreal
fantasy drama little seen, but much acclaimed). He started his
career in television in the 1960s, but hit the big screen with the
violent crime drama Get Carter, a film that has now achieved cult
status (recently voted the best British film ever in Hotdog
magazine) and continues to be the benchmark any British crime film
sets itself against. Though hardly prolific- just eight feature
films in 30 years - Mike Hodges makes fascinating movies that just
won't go away. As well as an introductory essay, each of Hodges
film and television work is reviewed and analysed. There is also an
article looking at the impact and continuing influence of Get
Carter and a section listing any other information about Hodges and
his films.

A TV production of Mark Adams's opera recorded in Houston, Texas in
2000. Patrick Summers conducts the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra,
with performances by Stephanie Novacek, Joyce Di Donato and Chad
Shelton.
What happens when an unadventurous adventure writer tries to
re-create the original expedition to Machu Picchu?
In 1911, Hiram Bingham III climbed into the Andes Mountains of Peru
and "discovered" Machu Picchu. While history has recast Bingham as
a villain who stole both priceless artifacts and credit for finding
the great archeological site, Mark Adams set out to retrace the
explorer's perilous path in search of the truth--except he'd
written about adventure far more than he'd actually lived it. In
fact, he'd never even slept in a tent.
"Turn Right at Machu Picchu" is Adams' fascinating and funny
account of his journey through some of the world's most majestic,
historic, and remote landscapes guided only by a hard-as-nails
Australian survivalist and one nagging question: Just what "was"
Machu Picchu?

Explores how energy healing works through multilayered and
interconnected fields of consciousness • Illustrates the role of
transpersonal fields of consciousness in healing a range of issues,
from inherited family and ancestral problems, to past lives and
womb trauma, to near-death experiences, merged identities, and
spirit attachment • Shares remarkable cases of healing and
personal transformation from the author’s more than 20 years of
energy healing work, as well as experiences from other gifted
healers, psychics, and shamans • Provides diagrams of the human
energy body, the spectrum of states of awareness, the multilayered
fields of consciousness, and the psycho-energetic dynamics of the
transformation process Sharing remarkable cases of healing and
personal transformation from his and his wife’s more than 20
years of intensive professional energy healing work as well as
experiences from other gifted healers, psychics, and shamans, Peter
Mark Adams illustrates the role of transpersonal fields of
consciousness in heal ing a range of issues--from inherited family
and ancestral problems to past lives and womb trauma to near-death
experiences, merged identities, and spirit attachment. Drawing on
esoteric tradition as well as scientific research, such as Rupert
Sheldrake’s morphic field studies, the author maps out the human
energy field in all its subtleties, providing diagrams of the human
energy body, the spectrum of states of awareness, the multilayered
fields of consciousness, and the psychoenergetic dynamics of the
transformation process. Through compelling testimonials of powerful
healings, Adams demonstrates how the processes of healing and of
peak spiritual experience are closely aligned with harmony within
the larger energetic field of consciousness. Proposing a new model
of consciousness, reality, and energy healing that incorporates the
anomalous phenomena that occurs on the outermost edges of human
experience, the author draws these many strands together to outline
not only a multilayered approach for different kinds of energy
healing modalities, such as Reiki, breathwork, EFT, and remote
healing, but also a useful program of self-help that anyone can
follow to make lasting improvements to their physical, emotional,
and spiritual health.
