This book tackles questions related to democracy, populism and
truth, with results that are sure to inform pressing academic and
popular debates. It is common to describe many of today's most
energizing politicians and political movements as populist. Some
are progressive advocates of greater economic democracy or
individual rights, while others are recognizably authoritarian and
anti-democratic, even while claiming to defend democracy. What all
populist leaders share in common is a rhetorical approach: their
ability to articulate, or at least profess to channel, the wishes
of 'the people', a group that populist leaders claim a unique
ability to understand and govern, especially with regard to their
dissatisfaction with ruling elites. They decry corruption (although
not necessarily with any sincerity), and they sometimes identify
more mainstream politicians and bureaucrats as 'enemies of the
people.' The rise of populist politics raises pressing questions
about the nature of populism, but also about relationships between
populism and democratic institutions. For example, is populism ever
a democratic tendency, or does its invocation of a monolithic demos
('the people') signify a fundamentally anti-democratic worldview?
Populist political rhetoric also raises concerns about the
relationship between truth, democracy, and journalistic integrity.
While the history of anti-democratic advocacy (famously illustrated
by Plato) has often highlighted the tendency of a democratic style
of politics to prioritize popularity over truth, the development of
social media-and evolving norms of journalistic communication and
public political discourse-raise these misgivings in new forms.

This book presents a self-contained introduction to the theory
of minisum hyperspheres. Thisspecialized researcharea within the
larger field ofgeometric optimization is full of interesting and
open problems.
This work provides an overview of the history of minisum
hyperspheres as well as describes the best techniques for
developing and solving minisum hypersphereproblems. Various related
areas of geometric and nonlinear optimization are also
discussed.
As the first publication devoted to this area of research, this
work will be of greatinterest to graduate-level
researchersstudyingminisum hypersphere problemsas well
asmathematicians interested geometric optimization."

Soccer Intellect (Learning and Developing Game Skills) - teaches
club level soccer to players of all ages (youth, high school,
collegiate), parents and coaches and applies to all formats (6v6,
8v8, 11v11). The book focuses on the mental aspect of soccer and
covers game awareness, field vision, decision-making, game pace,
mental speed, positioning, movement without the ball, tactics and
unselfishness to get developing players to the next level. By
improving mental speed, ambidexterity and decision-making, your
soccer skills will transcend into instinctiveness on the pitch.
Although I see many players learning the physical and technical
aspects of soccer, not much emphasis is placed on the mental side
of the game. What a players sees in match play determines what
he/she can do. Two players may see the same rolling ball in a game
differently, depending on skill level. One player might see it as a
chance to kick it down field while another sees an opportunity to
utilize open space, draw in the defense, and split the defenders
with a lead pass. Soccer Intellect, or SI for short, is designed to
teach players how to think and play at the same time. Improved
decision-making on and off the pitch will lead to better soccer.
The Invention Bible will walk you through all the steps and process
to get your idea from a thought to an actual product selling in the
market. If you have an idea and want to turn it into an income
stream then this book is a must have. You'll be directed through
the four stages of any invention. The idea stage where you
determine whether your idea can actually sell in the market. The
prototyping stage where you get a prototype to either sell off of
or manufacture your product. The inventory stage where you have a
manufacturer making a good quality item at the lowest cost
possible. The distribution stage where you are selling the product
in the market and making money. If you have ever had an idea and
even thought about an invention then get the road map to success
built into this book.

The elusive Bigfoot has been a mystery for years. Truth or hoax? No
one knows for sure and perhaps never will. So does this creature of
the forest truly exist? Is there really a missing link that ties
together man with his ape ancestors? Or is it all simply a figment
of the imagination. With stories from: Josh Nichols, Rick Moore,
Anthony Giangregorio, Suzanne Robb, Vincenzo Bilof, Dane T.
Hatchell, Terry Alexander, Dustin Stevens, Kevin Hosey, Jack St.
Joseph, Richard Salter, James Jeffrey Paul, Kelly M. Hudson and
Alan Spencer.
Weird is the biography of Mark Christopher Lee lead singer and
songwriter in cult indie band - The Pocket Gods. This book charts
the highs and lows of being in an unsigned indie band. From being
discovered by the late John Peel and recording sessions for BBC
Radio 1 and Radio 6, to playing gigs to one man and his dog in
dubious London pubs. It captures the sights, sounds and smells of
an up and coming indie band. It also explores Mark's relationship
with the paranormal and the "weird" unexplainable things that have
happened in his rock and roll journey. It's like Spinal Tap meets
the X Files but with better snacks. Mark Whitby from Dandelion
Radio has described the book as; "A tale from the far more
interesting backwaters of modern music, with Mark and his band
fighting to survive within the swirling evolutionary gloop. It's
Mark's honesty that stands out. It reaches out and grabs you by the
throat wringing fascinating observations out of every line whether
you like them or not"
