Explorations in American Archaeology is a collection of original essays relating to the areas of archaeology within which Hurt conducted pioneering research. The contributions include a number of noted scholars in both North And South America and reflect Hurt's regional and topical interests. This book summarizes well-known sites and those less known but important to understanding the regional prehistory of Guyana.
