The classic story of A Christmas Carol is given a modern twist and set at West End High School, where the campus "Scrooge" is Meredith Priestly, the most beautiful, most popular, meanest, nastiest girl in school! With uninterested and never present globe-trotting parents, the lead in the school production of Romeo and Juliet and Queen Bee of campus (or so she thinks!) is in need of a reminder of what Christmas and frienship are about. Visited by five ghosts - two of which are Patty and Patrick Prince, two former West End Cheerleaders from the 1950's - Meredith is taken on a life changing journey.

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the south, there's a place where the bee-hive hairdo is still the rage and Saturday nights are reserved for the tractor pull in nearby Pickler. A colorful collection of good ol' country folk gather 'round for this year's county fair, and there's stiff competition in the arts and crafts category. Faith County enjoyed a thirty-five week run on WLYX and was featured on the television special, "Dateline."

Flexible Cast, 15m, 13f / Comedy / Jr. High/High School / Simple set Swashbuckling pirates, sea battles, buried treasure and a pygmy or two make up the high seas adventure of The Pirate Show! ARG! Set in late 19th century London, Nigel and Virginia Huddersfield, orphaned brother and sister, are living under the cruel Miss Persimmon Crudmudgeon. Fed up with their life, the brother and sister flee. Pursued by Crudmudgeon and her Constable boyfriend, Nigel and Virginia hide in pier side barrels, but they are separated as the all-female crew of the Pretty Penelope and the all-male crew of El Bandido Loco accidently kidnap them. Both crews are in pursuit of the treasure of Captain Mauvebeard and the Caribbean Ruby, buried on Pygmy Island. Upon arrival to Pygmy Island, the pirates encounter the pygmies, who have discovered the treasure and spent it! Devastated, the bands of pirates are thrilled when the pygmies inform them they have one piece of treasure left the Caribbean Ruby. The pirates decide to join together, thus reuniting Nigel and Virginia. Once back in jolly ole England, Nigel and Virginia, along with their new pirate and pygmy friends, buy the orphanage and fire Crudmudgeon. A family oriented comedy, The Pirate Show completely sold out its premiere run! Great fun for all!

This book presents the first large-scale comparative study of Iron Age coin mould. The subject of Iron Age minting techniques is an important one that reveals a great deal about Iron Age political organisation and economy but which, until now, has remained largely unreported. In addition to examining in detail approximately 20% of all the coin mould ever found, the book also addresses the lack of an agreed reporting protocol, the main and considerable obstacle to progress in this field. In addition to the detailed interpretation of all mould studied the volume also serves as a field guide to best practice in dealing with new material and finds.

In classical antiquity, beginning in 573 B.C., Nemea hosted international athletic competitions like those at Olympia, Delphi, and Isthmia; the games at the four sites constituted the Panhellenic cycle, and the victors were the most famous athletes of antiquity. Nemea was never a city-state but served as a religious and athletic festival center where the Greek world assembled every two years under a flag of truce. Since 1974, excavations sponsored by the University of California at Berkeley have revealed many details of Nemea's history, as well as evidence for the nature of the buildings and other facilities which were part of the festival center. These discoveries, together with smaller finds in the museum and ancient literary and epigraphic sources, form the basis of a new and sharply defined picture of the Nemean Games. This guidebook is an introduction to the history and physical remains of the festival center and a complement to detailed final publications on the excavation now being prepared. This title is part of UC Press's Voices Revived program, which commemorates University of California Press’s mission to seek out and cultivate the brightest minds and give them voice, reach, and impact.
