Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a terrifying new killer resurrects the Ghostface mask.

As the deaths mount, Woodsboro’s new targets must seek help from the survivors of the original Ghostface attacks. Now, only Sidney Prescott, former sheriff Dewey Riley, and reporter Gale Weathers can find a way to stop the killer when everyone is a suspect.

Fourth instalment in the slasher horror franchise. Ten years on from the events of the previous film, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has finally managed to put the horrific events of her past behind her, and returns to her hometown of Woodsboro on a promotional tour for her recently published self-help book. Unfortunately for her and her childhood friends Dewey and Gale (David Arquette and Courteney Cox), the Ghostface Killer has chosen the ten-year anniversary of the Woodsboro murders to begin a new killing spree in the town - and this time he is broadcasting the whole thing live on the internet.

Two modern day teenagers, brother and sister David and Jennifer (Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon), are transported by their TV repairman into the world of Pleasantville, a 1950s sitcom which David constantly watches. In Pleasantville the world is black and white, there is no sex or violence, the basketball team never loses and the library is full of blank books. But the presence of the two teens contaminates the dream-like atmosphere, and soon colour is spreading across the town and its inhabitants are behaving like real people. As Pleasantville becomes more and more modern David and Jennifer have to decide which they prefer: real life or sugar-coated fantasy.
