pianist Martha Argerich. The film features interview footage with
Argerich in which she discusses her past, her doubts and her love
of music. The pianist also performs works alongside fellow
musicians such as Nelson Freire and Friedrich Gulda.
The renowned Argentine pianist performs works by Mozart, Chopin,
Ravel, Rachmaninov and Schumann at the 1982 Münchner Klaviersommer,
accompanied by Nelson Freire, Nicolas Economou and Mischa Maisky.

Stéphanie Argerich directs this documentary portraying her
relationship with parents Stephen Kovacevich and Martha Argerich.
Being the daughter of two world-renowned classical pianists,
Stéphanie Argerich observes the struggles her mother encountered
trying to raise three children while also maintaining an
award-winning artistic career that took her across the globe. Using
family videos, Argerich traces their private history over two
decades which took them to countries including her mother's native
Argentina, Poland, Japan, her father's home in London, her mother's
new home in Belgium and Switzerland where Stéphanie now works and
lives with her elder sister, violinist Lyda Chen.
Mariano Nante directs this documentary that focuses on two families
of renowned pianists who live next to each other in Brussels.
Through interviews with concert pianist Martha Argerich and her
neighbours, the Tiempo-Lechner family, the film explores the life
of a pianist as the latest prodigy of Sergio Tiempo and Karin
Lechner, 13-year-old Natasha Binder, begins to shoulder the burden
of her family's musical heritage.
