There are not many books that address the boundaries of care of
older people from a work-life perspective. This book, authored by
contributors from various countries, looks at the boundaries of
care by looking at private and public help, professional and
personal help and paid and unpaid caregivers. It captures and
conceptualizes the complexity of the intersection of work and home
life as it relates to the provision of assistance and support to
older relatives in a variety of "care work" contexts. It explores
these issues within a critical framework, rather than from an
assumed stress or burden perspective, which dominates current texts
on the topic. Readers of this volume will gain a deeper
understanding of issues of care provision amongst "networks" of
careers and helpers, and of the particular dynamics of care when it
is episodic or framed by constrains of space and time as a result
of geography. In addition, each chapter addresses issues of
diversity with sensitivity to gender, race and ethnicity. This book
will be of use to academics and graduate students in Gerontology,
Family Studies, IO psychology, Gender Studies and Sociology.

It is the eve of the Darcys' annual Lady Anne ball at their magnificent Pemberley home and Elizabeth's fifth ball as lady of the house. Darcy and Elizabeth are relaxing with their guests after supper when the festivities are brought to an abrupt halt.
A scream calls them to the window and a hysterical Lydia Bennet tumbles out of a carriage screaming murder. What follows is the sombre discovery of a dead man in Pemberley woods, a brother accused of murder, and the beginning of a nightmare which will threaten to engulf Pemberley and all the Darcy’s hold dear.
BBC's new drama based on P.D. James' follow-up to Pride and Prejudice.
New to Hart Publishing, this is the seventh edition of the classic
casebook on tort, the first of its kind in the UK, and for many
years now a bestselling and very popular text for students. This
new edition retains all the features that have made it such a
popular and respected text, with extensive commentary, questions
and notes supplementing the selection of cases and statutes which
form the core of the book. Taking a broadly contextual approach,
the book addresses all the main topics in tort law, is up-to-date,
doctrinally sound, stimulating and highly readable.
A provocative, accessible, and cleverly illustrated guide to legal
principles and practice, by a law instructor and internationally
experienced attorney
This might be the most useful book law students ever read. Not because
it contains the details of case law, but because it teaches them how to
think like a lawyer. From the fundamentals of effective argument to the
principles, structures, and assumptions underlying our legal system,
101 Things I Learned in Law School makes the impenetrable clear and the
complex understandable. Illustrated lessons summarize landmark cases
and illuminate a fascinating range of questions, including:
* What is the difference between honesty and truthfulness?
* Why is circumstantial evidence often better than direct evidence?
* How does one find the proper sources to substantiate a legal argument?
* Why do states deliberately pass unconstitutional laws?
* How can testimony from a hostile witness be helpful?
Written by an internationally experienced attorney and law instructor,
101 Things I Learned in Law School is a concise, highly readable
resource for law students, graduates, professionals, and anyone else
fascinated--or confused--by our legal system.
Double bill of BBC TV dramas based on the characters from Jane
Austen's classic novel 'Pride and Prejudice'. 'Death Comes to

Maxwell Martin) and Darcy (Matthew Rhys) have been happily married
for a number of years and have two young sons. However, when

into turmoil. Adapted by screenwriter Andrew Davies, 'Pride and
Prejudice' (1995) revolves around the arrival of the wealthy Mr
Darcy (Colin Firth) and party and the excitement he causes amongst
the five daughters of the Bennett family. Crispin Bonham-Carter,
Anna Chancellor and Susannah Harker also star.
