The American Revolution in Anecdotes is a series of short stories
from the American Revolutionary era. They are historical in nature.
The author does not claim to be a historian but only an interested
learner. These short stories are meant to teach a broader spiritual
principle. The messages associated with each story may be found in
the author's book. The Story of Liberty.
The Story of Liberty contains twenty-six chapters that trace the
history, principles and life applications of liberty through the
Bible. Using events from the American Revolutionary War, the book
works its way through the Old and New Testaments to describe what
liberty is, why it is so important to possess it and when it is
appropriate to surrender it. The Story of Liberty is a Bible study.
Almost every chapter will contain some piece of history from the
American Revolutionary War but it is not a history book. This book
studies liberty as it is found in the Word of God, the Bible.
For approximate twenty five years now, the focus on most studies of
the Song of Solomon has been on the relationship between husband
and wife. Some teachers have gone so far as to imply it is heresy
and abusive to the Bible to teach any other application for it.
Previous to that, however, most Bible preachers and teachers taught
that the Song of Solomon represents Christ's love for His church.
This book reaches back to those less modern students of the Bible
and applies the Song of Solomon to Christ's relationship to
believers. The Song of Solomon is seen as a drama having five acts,
each one presenting a different phase in the growing relationship
between Christ and the believer.
It is what makes us different that gives us reason and purpose for
existence. The distinctive doctrines of the Baptist people are
unique to any other religious group, including all other groups of
Christians.
