Stories set in Ireland, Slovenia, Slovakia, and India, penetrating
stories woven out of Gabriel Rosenstock's own fantastic worlds,
some newly translated from the Irish, others appearing in English
for the first time. 'The Partisan and other stories' has a stunning
range of moods, styles, voices and themes - from the quirky and
mirth-provoking to the magically lyrical - all inviting the reader
to engage in an entrancing and passionate conversation about the
nature of reality.
'Towards a Cornish Philosophy' offers an initial study of the basic
beliefs, attitudes and concepts belonging to the Cornish over time.
This volume contains a series of amusing short four-line poems
beginning with Irish place-names and with place-names from
elsewhere in the world.

This novella is set in Slavenia, a small imaginary country in
Eastern Europe. Although its inhabitants experienced both the
Holocaust and Stalinism, their spirit and courage remaind unbroken.
Slavenia is now a free and independent country, but a new internal
crisis seems to threaten the fledging democracy.
