Creativity to Community: Arts Nonprofit Success One Coffee at a
Time is both an inspiring and practical guide for anyone who values
the role of art in their community. Written by Dr. Matthew Hinsley,
a successful arts administrator who managed the growth of an arts
nonprofit from its infancy to become the largest of its kind in
America, Creativity to Community is an approachable yet detailed
guide that addresses the most important issues facing community
arts organization leaders.
Friends stumble upon a vast and ancient darkness. In this
action-packed introduction to the epic struggle that soon engulfs
them, they must call on the good residing deep within, they must
gather the elemental forces of light in the world around them, and
most of all, they must learn to trust one another. Plus they'll
turn saplings into lethal spring-loaded trip traps, cut through
drooling enemy hoards, and face off against at least one massive
tentacular beast of the deep. Strap in.
After narrowly avoiding death by goblin horde, tentacular worm, and
conjured conflagration, Arden, Gnome, Ohlen, Ruprecht, X'andria,
and Boudreaux emerge into the daylight and seek to understand the
madness that transpired beneath the Westoveran mountains. They
journey to the port city of Rockmoor to recover, to strengthen, to
learn. But between the rats, the thieves, the smugglers, and the
otherworldly demonic cretins, there is very little rest for the
weary-and they realize the darkness they've encountered is but a
foreshadowing of the malevolence approaching.
The aftermath of our team's battle in the sewers of Rockmoor
against Elias, were-rats, warriors with magically morphing tattoos,
and mysterious demon spawn, is messy indeed. They are wounded,
exhausted, and rattled. The heroes take shelter briefly in the
Thieves' Den but not all the thieves wish them well. Disaster
strikes when Ohlen and X'andria take one of Elias' magical objects
to The Sorcerer of Rockmoor to ask his help. Waif, Zarina, and her
girls, strike out on their own to build a coalition against the
evil forces that destroyed Zarina's husband Mordimer. The heroes
are framed for Elias' evil deeds. Gnome encounters a ruthless
one-eyed hunter and a were-lioness, and an abominable monster named
Gruder is released into the city. In this confusing and dangerous
atmosphere, a young Meriden named Petric arrives and asks for the
heroes' help. His village elder, Alzbeda, is missing, he has gold
and transport, and he comes at just the right time for the group to
get out of Rockmoor.
