Part survival epic, part psychological horror and part coming-of-age drama, this is the story of a team of wildly talented high school girls' soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together 25 years later. What began in the wilderness is far from over.
Stephen Chbosky adapts his own novel for this coming-of-age drama about an introvert teen whose eyes are opened to a world of new experiences after he becomes friends with two older kids. When shy freshman Charlie (Logan Lerman) makes friends with Patrick (Ezra Miller) and his stepsister Sam (Emma Watson) almost by accident, he soon finds himself immersed in a newfound world of music, friends, soft drugs and sexual confusion.
The Yellowjackets barely made it through summer in the woods but now, as winter begins to bite, we’ll see if hunger and desperation turn into full-on psychosis. While there may or may not be a dark and powerful force inhabiting the wilderness, their survival could depend upon what they choose to believe. Meanwhile, twenty-five years later, each survivor must ask themselves – is the darkness coming for them, or is it coming from them?
George Clooney stars in this satirical comedy drama based on the novel by Walter Kirn. Ryan Bingham (Clooney) is a corporate downsizing expert - in other words, his job is to fire people from theirs - and he takes his job very seriously. He travels the length and breadth of the country, racking up air miles and living out of a suitcase, and relishing every moment of it. When his job and way of life come under threat by new centralised procedures implemented by his hotshot colleague Natalie (Anna Kendrick), Ryan determines to show her just how valuable his role is - but instead ends up facing up to some of the pitfalls of his lifestyle. The film won the 2010 BAFTA for Best Adapted Screenplay.
