includes antibacterial soap, Band-Aids and a parachute. Day after
day he watches and waits, and waits and watches, until one day ...
his worst nightmare comes true! Scaredy suddenly finds himself out
of his tree, where germs, poison ivy and sharks lurk. But as
Scaredy Squirrel leaps into the unknown, he discovers something

important rule...having fun!
Scaredy Squirrel is exactly the squirrel your child needs--a little
bit anxious, a lot adorable, and totally lovable. He likes the
safety of his nut tree, but not so much the great outdoors. And
he's about to go . . . camping?! Scaredy Squirrel is cool with
camping . . . as long as he can do it from his couch! Who wants to
deal with mosquitos, dirt, and wild animals when he can experience
nature on his brand-new TV? Except--uh-oh!--first he has to plug it
in, which means LEAVING HIS TREE! Luckily, Scaredy's always got a
plan. And he doesn't realize he might just explore the great
outdoors along the way. As young listeners see Scaredy face his
fears in the silliest of ways, they gain perspective and courage,
empowering them to tackle their own worries with a big smile.

back! Where are you going? This funny, energetic, in-your-face
story is just right for anyone who needs to practice a little

The bestselling author-illustrator and creator of publishing
sensation Scaredy Squirrel presents a character you just can't say
"no" to: salesman Mr. Al Foxword. Al can sell anything. You can't
help but be impressed by his lineup of satisfied customers: he's
sold an icebox to a penguin, an umbrella to a fish and a dirt
vacuum to a mole. Al knows you're looking for a great book, and
this is your lucky day. Say goodbye to books that leave you bored
and uninspired. Research shows that 100 percent of Al's customers
notice a dramatic increase in happiness after buying his book. Not
totally convinced yet? Just when you think you're ready to close
the book on this relentless salesman, he comes up with a clever
tactic that you simply can't refuse. The retro design and the sheer
absurdity of Foxword's powers of persuasion make for an
off-the-wall picture book with major crossover appeal that pokes
fun at our hard-sell society.
Chester's finally ready to write his own masterpiece - he just
needs to get Melanie Watt out of the way! A wry take on the
creative process and how good stories are constructed. When Chester
(the cat) announces he's taking over for Melanie Watt on this book
due to some technical difficulties, Melanie begs to differ. She
tells him that no one will want to publish his messy book. And she
demands that he return her supplies so she can get to work. Chester
insists he can create the best, most original story anyone has ever
read in their entire nine lives. Will the real author and
illustrator have the last laugh after all?
That lovable little worrywart is back. And he's as scaredy as ever!
In his latest adventure, Scaredy Squirrel sets out to make The
Perfect Friend. And once he's spotted a perfectly safe candidate
(with no teeth), Scaredy's ready. Armed with a name tag, mittens, a
mirror and a lemon, he's prepared to make The Perfect First
Impression. But just when every detail is under control, Scaredy's
Action Plan takes a surprising --- and ?toothy? --- turn. Will he
survive this ordeal? Will he find his kindred spirit? Will he
discover the true meaning of friendship? Read Scaredy's nutty story
to find out ...

The time is now for this anxious little guy: Meet Scaredy Squirrel
in his brand-new graphic novel series! He's funnier (and
scared-ier) than ever, and perfect for readers of Narwhal and
Jelly. Scaredy is happy to stay in his nut tree. Why would he ever
leave? The outside is filled with dangers. Like aliens! And dust!
And a certain fluffy bunny who likes to pop up! But things don't
always go as planned, even for a super-prepared squirrel. When he
has to venture out of his tree and onto the ground, Scaredy panics
and plays dead . . . but maybe the fluffy bunny's not so scary
after all? In a nutshell, Scaredy might just make a new friend, if
he is brave enough. . . .
Scaredy never sleeps --- sleep might mean bad dreams about dragons,
ghosts, vampire bats and polka-dot monsters. Our wide-eyed hero has
a plan: stay awake all night, every night. Between counting stars,
playing cymbals and making scrapbooks, he does a good job of
avoiding dreamland. With exhaustion taking its toll, Scaredy comes
face-to-face with an alarming horoscope prediction: All his dreams
are about to come true! He must prepare for the worst and his Bad
Dream Action Plan includes a fire extinguisher to snuff out dragons
and a fan to blast away ghosts. But when disaster strikes, will
Scaredy survive this ordeal? Will he thank his lucky stars? Will he
find sweet dreams? Scaredy Squirrel at Night tackles a fear
everyone --- and especially the young --- can relate to. It's a
bedtime story to make light of kids' fear of the dark and a fable
for our sleep-deprived society.

home in his nut tree, with his defenses, his emergency kit and his
back-up plans at the ready. So even though the sun is shining and
it's time for a vacation, Scaredy does not want to go to the beach
- that vast, frightening place where a squirrel could get stranded.
Instead, Scaredy builds his own safe beach getaway under his nut
tree. Still, the lure of the genuine beach is strong - even a
dedicated homebody such as Scaredy can't resist it forever. Can his
back-up plans save him from its perils?

Scaredy Squirrel, the loveable worrywart, returns for another nutty
adventure. Scaredy never plans big birthday parties. He'd rather
celebrate alone quietly in the safety of his nut tree and avoid
those pesky party animals (ants, clownfish, ponies and Bigfoot).
When all his excessive plans are thrown up in the air like
confetti, will Scaredy play dead and cancel? Or will he face the
music?
