Double bill of adventure films. 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning
Thief' (2010), based on the children's books by Rick Riordan,
follows the adventures of 12-year-old New Yorker Percy Jackson
(Logan Lerman). When Percy discovers that he is the descendant of a
Greek god, he sets out on a cross-country adventure to settle an
ongoing feud between the 'Big Three', Zeus (Sean Bean), Hades
(Steve Coogan) and Poseidon (Kevin McKidd), and unravel a mystery
more powerful than the gods themselves. 'Eragon' (2006), based on
the best-selling novel by Christopher Paolini, follows the fortunes
of an orphaned farm boy, Eragon (Edward Speleers), whose life is
changed forever when a mystic stone chooses him for its keeper.
When the stone turns out to be an egg from which a baby dragon is
hatched, Eragon realises he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as
old as the Empire itself. With only an ancient sword and the advice
of an old storyteller (Jeremy Irons) for guidance, Eragon and the
fledgling dragon (voiced by Rachel Weisz) must navigate the
dangerous terrain of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no
bounds.
The second instalment of the fantasy adventure franchise based on
the bestselling children's books by Rick Riordan. After discovering
that their demigod training ground, Camp Half-Blood, is in danger
of being overrun by monsters, Percy (Logan Lerman), Annabeth
(Alexandra Daddario), Grover (Brandon T. Jackson) and Tyson
(Douglas Smith) set out on a perilous journey to the Sea of
Monsters, known today as the Bermuda Triangle, to retrieve the
mythical object that can save their camp - the Golden Fleece.

Comedy directed by Henry Selick based on Kaja Blackley's graphic
novel and starring Brendan Fraser and Bridget Fonda. Happy to have
just sold his character Monkeybone to a television company, cartoon
artist Stu Miley (Fraser) is getting ready to propose to his
girlfriend Julie (Fonda) when he is involved in a terrible
accident. Sinking deep into a coma, Stu is then joined by
Monkeybone (voice of John Turturro) in an unlikely journey in a
bizarre nightmare realm. But Monkeybone escapes from the dream and
begins creating all kinds of libidinous havoc in the real world.
Can Stu somehow find a way back and put a stop to this animated
simian chaos?
Triple bill of the comedy franchise starring Ben Stiller. In 'Night
at the Museum' (2006), Larry Daley (Stiller) is a kind-hearted
dreamer who always knew that he was destined for greatness. In need
of money he takes a job as a lowly graveyard-shift security guard
at the Museum of Natural History in order to provide a more stable
life for his ten-year-old son. On his first night on the job,
however, he finds that the guardianship of the museum is far from
stable. At nightfall an Egyptian spell brings the artefacts and wax
figures to life. With Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher) charging
through the hallways, miniature Romans and cowboys embroiled in a
deadly feud, and a two-ton Tyrannosaurus Rex nagging to play fetch,
Larry turns to a wax replica of President Theodore Roosevelt (Robin
Williams) for a little advice on keeping things intact. In 'Night
at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsmonian' (2009), Larry
receives news that the Museum of Natural History is to be closed
for renovations, and the exhibits moved into federal storage at the
Smithsonian Institution in Washington, where the collection
includes artefacts associated with many of the great figures of
American history including Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), General
Custer (Bill Hader) and Al Capone (Jon Bernthal). Larry must
infiltrate the museum's tight security to rescue Jedediah (Owen
Wilson) and Octavius (Steve Coogan), who have been shipped there by
mistake. In 'Night at the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb' (2014), as
the magic of the Tablet of Ahkmenrah begins to fade, Larry travels
around the world in order to reunite members of his museum crew
including Roosevelt, Jedediah and Octavius and, of course,
Ahkmenrah (Rami Malek) to try to save the magic before it's too
late.
