some rather unexpected and hilarious inhabitants! From Michael
Rosen, the highly regarded author of We're Going on a Bear Hunt,
comes this wonderful new take on the famous nursery rhyme,

Michael Rosen's two cats are popular on Twitter because he started
sharing his conversations, (his 'chats') with them as tweets about
a year ago. The cats generally have the upper hand and Michael has
to put up with their demands. The tweets take on the format of
small playlets with the cats speaking as one. They often disturb
him working and just as often moan about their lack of food and his
treatment of them. The illustrations that accompany the tweets will
delight cat lovers and possibly the cats theemselves, althoughh
they are somewhat vain so this is not a forgone clonclusion. Those
who have similarly demanding moggies at home will no doubt treasure
this book.
Double the trouble! An original novel by Michael Rosen, told
alongside the Dickens classic that inspired it: Oliver Twist. Shona
and her dad are moving house, and at Shona's new school, the rules
are pretty confusing; she keeps getting into trouble without
realizing! It's a lot like how it is for Oliver Twist, that boy
she's reading about in English class. After Shona is unexpectedly
given a mobile phone, she begins to suspect there's something fishy
about the new boys she's met. Where did the phone come from? And
some gifts, she soon learns, aren't exactly free... Read two
stories at once - both illustrated by Tony Ross.

anymore! – is riding her pony through the woods to visit Granny
for a picnic and a surprise. Now that she is bigger, she feels much
braver than the last time she went. Until . . . what was that? Was
it the Big Bad Wolf? A funny story full of surprises! From Michael
Rosen, the highly regarded author of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt,
comes this wonderful new take on the famous nursery tale,
brilliantly brought to life by David Melling, the creator of

From two of the biggest names in children's publishing, this is an
inspiring guide to wordplay for young readers, their parents and
teachers. I'm ready for spaghetti Will you getti the spaghetti?
Don't say, "Not yetti spaghetti!" 'cos I'm all setti for spaghetti.
Fizzing with rhythm, energy and laughter, the 30 poems in Ready for
Spaghetti delight in the details of children's daily routines. "Up,
up, uppity-up!", the first poem announces, while the artwork shows
a child leaping out of bed, ready to begin their morning; "Hush and
a hush, soft and low", chants the final poem, as children snuggle
under their blankets after their day's adventures. Full of
affectionate observations of young children, which are beautifully
continued in Polly Dunbar's warm-hearted pictures, Michael Rosen's
poems are ideal for reading aloud with toddlers ... and many
grown-ups will soon know them by heart!
Rigatoni is a pasta cat. He loves pasta, any kind of pasta:
spaghetti, penne, fusilli, with pesto, in soup, in lasagne, any
whichever way his owners, Ruth and Tina, will serve it. Then one
day Ruth and Tina go away and leave George in charge. And the pasta
is replaced with yucky cat food. Can Rigatoni find someone who
understands what he really wants to eat?

The fan-favourite story from celebrated author and former British
Children's Laureate Michael Rosen - now in graphic novel form with
full-colour illustrations by Cole Henley. Uh-oh... Frank isn't
doing well at school, and he has just been told off by his head
teacher again... He has one last chance to prove himself: all he
has to do is follow the rules on his class trip to Chiltern House,
complete his worksheet and stay out of trouble. But when a girl
steps out of a painting and steals Frank's worksheet, staying out
of trouble is easier said than done. Together, they embark on a
perilous adventure to discover the girl's lost identity, uniting
with new friends along the way who show Frank all is not as it
seems in this stately home. How did the owners of Chiltern House
come to own its priceless treasures? Can the secrets of the past
ever really stay hidden? Will Frank's head teacher stop him and his
new friends before they find out the truth? Frank's class trip is
more than he bargained for, but it may just hold the greatest
lesson he'll ever learn.

This Christmas, join Michael Rosen and Tony Ross with their
unforgettable retelling of Charles Dickens' beloved classic. In a
school theatrical production of "A Christmas Carol", the boy who
plays Scrooge is extra nervous because his very busy father is in
the audience. However, it's likely his father won't stay for the
duration, due to business. As always. Will the classic story's
message of Christmas cheer and family love reach his father's
distracted heart? with text by Michael Rosen and hilarious line
illustrations by Tony Ross - both national treasures in the
children's book world! "Michael Rosen's clever re-telling of the
Dicken's classic" - The Daily Mail There are two narratives: a
contemporary family story frames (and echoes) the original Dickens
tale, presented as the script of a school play
Named Children's Book of the Week by The Times! Inspired by a true
family story, Michael Rosen presents an astonishing account of
perseverance, love and hope in wartime. Beginning in 1939, young
Solly in London exchanges letters with his teenaged cousin, Bernie,
in Poland. While Solly is evacuated and tries his best to adjust to
life in the English countryside, Bernie's parents know that as Jews
they're not safe staying in Warsaw, so they send Bernie to the
Russian-occupied side of the country in the hope that he'll be
safer there. Soon, though, he is arrested and sent off to a forced
labour camp in Russia. As the cousins exchange sporadic letters,
they try to keep their spirits up, trading jokes and observations
about the world changing all around them. Then Bernie seizes the
opportunity to join the "Anders Army" and fight the Axis powers,
and tells Solly all about his experiences in Iraq and eventually
Italy, where he fights alongside the British at the famous Battle
of Monte Cassino. Does Bernie survive and find a safe place to call
home? With breathtaking illustrations by beloved illustrator
Michael Foreman, this is an unforgettable story of courage and
love, perfect for the whole family to share. Michael Rosen is one
of the best-known figures in the children's book world, known for
his work as poet and author of classic books such as WE'RE GOING ON
A BEAR HUNT. This book is a perfect companion to POPPY FIELD by
Michael Morpurgo and Michael Foreman. Together, the books are a
wonderful introduction to the history of the great wars of the 20th
century and the importance of Remembrance.
A gentle tale for pre-schoolers, introducing the concept of sharing
in the playground from multi award winning author and poet Michael
Rosen. From former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen comes a simple
and poignant tale of the power of sharing, with superb artwork by
award winning illustrator Bob Graham. George says the cardboard
house is his and no one else can play in it. It isn't for girls,
small people, twins, people with glasses, or people who like
tunnels. But Lindy, Marly, Freddie, Charlene, Marlene, Luther,
Sophie and Rasheda have other ideas! One by one each child is
refused access until tables are turned and George finds how it
feels to be on the receiving end. A topical and perceptive book
that shows that it is much more fun to share.
We're going on a bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day! We're not scared.
Ready for some fun? Come along!

The Cold is coming, and it’s time for Big Bear and Little Bear to
get ready for the Big Sleep: for bears sleep all winter long, and
wake up in the spring. But Little Bear is worried. What if they run
out of dreams during the Big Sleep? And so, Little Bear sets out
bravely to find enough dreams to see them through the long winter.
On his journey, he discovers dreams of happiness; dreams of
homecoming; and dreams of hope. But with the Cold approaching fast,
will Little Bear make it back home in time for the Big Dreaming? A
resonant and uplifting tale from a master storyteller, The Big
Dreaming is a classic in the making, filled with luminous
illustrations by award-winning Daniel Egnéus.
A personal, powerful and resonant account of the Holocaust by one of this country's best-loved children’s authors. By turns charming, shocking and heart-breaking, this is the true story of Michael Rosen’s search for his relatives who “went missing” during the Second World War – told through prose, poetry, maps and pictures.
When Michael was growing up, stories often hung in the air about his great-uncles: one was a clock-mender and the other a dentist. They were there before the war, his dad would say, and weren’t after.
Over many years, Michael tried to find out exactly what happened: he interviewed family members, scoured the internet, pored over books and traveled to America and France. The story he uncovered was one of terrible persecution – and it has inspired his poetry for years since.
Here, poems old and new are balanced against an immensely readable narrative; both an extraordinary account and a powerful tool for talking to children about the Holocaust.
