Sexual Behaviour and HIV/AIDS in Europe is the first book to compare the major population surveys on sexual behaviour and HIV/AIDS carried out in Europe in recent years. Leading European researchers explore the differences and similarities between European countries in patterns of sexual behaviour and responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Sie ist so aufgebaut, dass im ersten Teil eine Begriffsklarung von Wissenschaft, Sozialarbeitswissenschaft und Sozialarbeitsforschung vorgenommen wird. Im zweiten Teil geht es darum, weshalb die Sozialarbeitswissenschaft und forschung notwendig fur die Professionalisierung der Sozialen Arbeit ist. Hierbei wird auch noch mal auf die Bedeutung dieser fur die Praxis und Ausbildung der Sozialen Arbeit eingegangen. Zum Ende des zweiten Teils wird die Situation im Bereich der Promotion in der Hochschullandschaft und die Forderung der Sozialarbeitswissenschaft und forschung in Deutschland beschrieben.
