Sustainability defines the need for any society to live within the
constraints of the land's capacity to deliver all natural resources
the society consumes. This book compares the general differences
between Native Americans and western world view towards resources.
It will provide the 'nuts and bolts' of a sustainability portfolio
designed by indigenous peoples. This book introduces the ideas on
how to link nature and society to make sustainable choices. To be
sustainable, nature and its endowment needs to be linked to human
behavior similar to the practices of indigenous peoples. The main
goal of this book is to facilitate thinking about how to change
behavior and to integrate culture into thinking and
decision-processes.
When you take a look at your parish, would you say that the primary
purpose of it is to evangelize? It should be. When you look at the
lives of most Catholics you know, would you say that they exist to
evangelize? It should be. Pope Paul VI explained that the Church
"exists in order to evangelize" (EN). Evangelization is the primary
reason for her existence! It's not just one the things that the
Church should do, it is THE thing she MUST do. In this short, easy
to read book, we'll answer six important questions about
evangelization: 1. What is evangelization? 2. Why are we supposed
to evangelize? 3. Who is called to be an evangelist? 4. Where is
our mission field? 5. How do we do it? 6. What would the result be
if we all took up our calling? The book is a quick read on your
own, but the format would work great as the text for a workshop on
evangelization or as material for small group discussion.
