Uno de los mas importantes ha sido el efecto que la presencia de senales externas tiene sobre ciertos deficits motores en los pacientes con Parkinson. Ya en 1967, Martin documento que la utilizacion de senales visuales en forma de tiras dispuestas por el suelo permitia a los enfermos de Parkinson mejorar su patron de marcha evitando los famosos episodios de bloqueo. Hoy en dia esta estrategia es utilizada frecuentemente por los terapeutas para la mejora de la marcha parkinsoniana. En ocasiones son los propios pacientes los que recurren en su actividades cotidianas a ese apoyo sensorial para evitar bloqueos al andar. Desde una aproximacion experimental en el presente libro abordamos el impacto que el uso de las senales sonoras puede tener en la rehabilitacion motora en pacientes con la enfermedad de Parkinson.
