'There is no one on earth quite so wonderful' STEPHEN FRY 'As
outrageously entertaining as you'd expect' Daily Express
BAFTA-winning actor, voice of everything from Monkey to the
Cadbury's Caramel Rabbit, creator of a myriad of unforgettable
characters from Lady Whiteadder to Professor Sprout, MIRIAM
MARGOLYES, OBE, is the nation's favourite (and naughtiest)
treasure. Now, at the age of 80, she has finally decided to tell
her extraordinary life story - and it's well worth the wait. Find
out how being conceived in an air-raid gave her curly hair; what
pranks led to her being known as the naughtiest girl Oxford High
School ever had; how she ended up posing nude for Augustus John as
a teenager; why Bob Monkhouse was the best (male) kiss she's ever
had; and what happened next after Warren Beatty asked 'Do you
fuck?' From declaring her love to Vanessa Redgrave to being told to
be quiet by the Queen, this book is packed with brilliant,
hilarious stories. With a cast list stretching from Scorsese to
Streisand, a cross-dressing Leonardo di Caprio to Isaiah Berlin,
This Much Is True is as warm and honest, as full of life and
surprises, as its inimitable author.

British romantic comedy starring Rufus Hound and Robert Webb. Raif
(Hound), an endearingly shambolic buffoon with a questionable sense
of humour, is asked to be best man at the wedding of his brother,
Tim (Robert Webb), to the socially aspirant Saskia (Lucy Punch).
His gift to the happy couple, he decides, will be a video of their
wedding - but little does he realise he will capture such
monstrosities of consumerism and social snobbery as are effected by
the coiffured, manicured Cheshire set to which Saskia - and now, it
seems, Raif's once-bohemian and now unrecognisable brother -
belong.

Join us on another unforgettable adventure through the
extraordinary life and strong opinions of Miriam Margolyes. 'My new
book is called OH MIRIAM! - something that has been said to me a
lot over the years, often in tones of strong disapproval. It
contains lots more revelations and stories and discoveries and I
can't wait to share it with you all!' From being escorted off the
Today programme (for saying what we were all thinking) to declaring
her love to Vanessa Redgrave; from Tales of the Unexpected to
Graham Norton's sofa, she is our most loved and most outspoken
national treasure. Oh Miriam! takes you inside both her head and
her heart. Buckle up for the most irrepressible, hilarious and
moving read of 2023
All 26 episodes from the 1970s TV series about a gang of outlaw

with the destruction of Lin Chung and his outlaws is increasing,
and it leads to a betrayal of the bandits after some evil
double-dealing on Kao Chiu's part. 'When Liang Shan Po Robbed the
Poor' finds Kao Chiu planning to overthrow the Prime Minister, and
robbing several tax collectors in a fit of pique, which draws in
Lin Chung to investigate. 'A Death for Love' has Tai Tsung and Yen
Li caught in the web spun by Kao Chiu; meanwhile, back in the
capital, the Prime Minister accuses Kao of conspiring to steal
taxes. 'The Bravest Tiger is First Killed' sees the squire of Kuang
Pow ordered by Kao Chiu to end the recent raids on the tax
collections in his province. In 'Heaven Aims the Master's Arrow'
Squire Kuang and his brothers set a trap for Lin Chung and Hua
Yung. 'The Traps of Love and Hate' finds the Great Duke Chai Huen
Chen's nephew Sai Chin suspected of being a Liang Shan Po
sympathiser. 'A Foolish Sage Who Got Involved' has a mongol warrior
employed to claim back rich provinces for the state and also to

Many' sees China increasingly threatened by the Hun forces. In 'A
War to End All Wars' Hong and his son travel to see Kao Chiu in
order to offer him the power of gunpowder. 'Death of a Great Man'
finds old enemies doing deals to repel the threat from the Tsung
army, which has fought its way from the borders of Manchuria all
the way into China. 'Lin Chung is Beaten' has Chao Kai assassinated
and Kao Chiu riding swiftly to Tung-Chi to gloat over his victory.
'A Concubine's Dowry' sees Kao Chiu continuing to corrupt the boy
Emperor, who soon becomes infatuated with Li Chih. 'Liand Shan Po
and the Millionaire' has the Tattooed Dragon return Feng Hsien
safely to her father and Liang Chung Shu openly accuses Lu Chin-I
of treason. 'Knight of the Long Sword' sees Kao Chiu declare
martial law in the capital city. Finally, in 'The Dynasty of Kao',
the nine dozen heroes of the Water Margins gather to the south of
the capital city, while Kao flees to the desert and Lin Chung rides
to confront him one more time.
From declaring my love to Vanessa Redgrave to being fed cockroaches
by Steve Buscemi, from turnip-based comedy with Blackadder to being
farted on by Arnold Schwarzenegger, from Graham Norton's sofa to
Alan Cumming's campervan, my life has been (and continues to be) a
riotous adventure. Oh Miriam! has been such a constant refrain in
my life, said in all kinds of tones - laughs, surprised gasps and
orgasmic sighs (I'm hoping for all those from you as you read on!)
- that it had to be the title of this book. And with a castlist
that stretches from Churchill to di Caprio, Dahl to Dietrich,
Princess Margaret to Maggie Smith, I've got so much more to tell
you and so much more to say. My chapters range from 'How to Stay
Married' to 'Don't Let the Bastards Get You Down'. Discover how to
break the thickest conversational ice; why swearing is actually
good for you (though not on the Today programme); the unexpected
things I actually learnt at school and what my Spice Girl name
would be. Not to mention my Tale of the Unexpected and my very own
Vagina Monologue. Buckle up and join me on another unforgettable
adventure, but this time through my heart and head . . . * No
gerunds (or Johnsons - worse luck!) were harmed in the making of
this book *

Puffin Audiobooks presents two volumes of beastly poetry by Roald
Dahl, complete and unabridged and raucously read by Miriam
Margolyes, Stephen Mangan, and Tamsin Greig. The audiobook contains
original music. In Revolting Rhymes, you can think again if you
thought you knew the stories of some of the most popular fairy
tales. Here are six of the best known retold, with more than a
twist or two, by the master of the comic and the blood-curdling. In
Dirty Beasts we meet a ghastly menagerie of wonderfully comic
animals that can only have been invented by Roald Dahl. There is
the toad that jumps to France - at his own peril; the pig who
ponders the meaning of life; the anteater who gets the wrong end of
the stick; and many more. Snigger, titter and laugh at their antics
in this collection of irreverent and absurdly comic verse! Listen
to other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices,
including Kate Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there
are added squelchy soundeffects from Pinewood Studios! Look out for
new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play- including the
disgusting TWIT OR MISS! inspired by the revolting Twits.
