In this volume of selected letters of the novelist and poet George
Meredith (1828-1909), the editor has included letters with such
figures as Virginia Woolf (Stephen at the time), Paul Valery,
Thomas Carlyle, Madame Daudet, Edmund Gosse, Alfred Tennyson, James
Thomson and many others. The letters, most of them previously
unpublished, reveal the myriad world of Meredith's life and
thought. The selection includes the two earliest letters extant
written by Meredith just after he had left Neuwied, his school in
Germany. It also includes Meredith's first letter to Chapman &
Hall concerning his project for the publication of his first volume
of verse, and another Meredith wrote to the same publisher in
connection with a cookery book which his first wife, Mary Ellen
Peacock, was preparing for publication.

Far from being social, orthodox or merely anecdotal, modern Arabic
fiction is in fact significant and radical in the world context of
modern fiction, as this book shows. It includes an introduction to
and critique of the short story as well as a selection of Arabic
short stories, chosen and translated by the author.
42 yrs male presented to general physician with complaints of
progressive symptoms of lower backache, fatigue, anemia, weight
loss and mild fever. Initial diagnosis on clinical grounds was
abdominal tuberculosis but on ultrasonography a hypo echoic mass
encircling the aorta, IVC and ureters at the aortic bifurcation was
observed with associated mild bilateral hydroureteronephrosis. His
ESR & C-RP level was raised. Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) was
suspected and contrast enhanced CT scans was performed. To
differentiate between Retroperitoneal fibrosis and lymphoma CT
guided biopsy carried out that confirmed our top impression on USG
and CT of Retroperitoneal fibrosis. Histology examination showed
infiltration of plasma cells, macrophages, lymphocytes and
eosinophils accompanied by fibrosis.
