Data analysis forms the basis of many modes of research ranging
from scientific discoveries to governmental findings. With the
advent of machine intelligence and neural networks, extracting and
modeling, approaching data has been unimpeachably altered. These
changes, seemingly small, affect the way societies organize
themselves, deliver services, or interact with each other.
Predictive Analysis on Large Data for Actionable Knowledge:
Emerging Research and Opportunities provides emerging information
on extraction and prediction patterns in data mining along with
knowledge discovery. While highlighting the current issues in data
extraction, readers will learn new methodologies comprising of
different algorithms that automate the multidimensional schema that
remove the manual processes. This book is a vital resource for
researchers, academics, and those seeking new information on data
mining techniques and trends.
Data warehousing is an important topic that is of interest to both
the industry and the knowledge engineering research communities.
Both data mining and data warehousing technologies have similar
objectives and can potentially benefit from each other's methods to
facilitate knowledge discovery. Improving Knowledge Discovery
through the Integration of Data Mining Techniques provides insight
concerning the integration of data mining and data warehousing for
enhancing the knowledge discovery process. Decision makers,
academicians, researchers, advanced-level students, technology
developers, and business intelligence professionals will find this
book useful in furthering their research exposure to relevant
topics in knowledge discovery.
This book explains the multiple perspectives of Central Asia or
Eurasia as it relates to the economic, security, and energy fields.
Sahibzada Muhammad Usman clarifies the influence of America,
Russia, Europe, and China on Eurasian countries. Central Asia
consists of five former Soviet nations: Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan,
Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Eurasia and international
players' current association depends on geographic, political,
economic, and security factors. Eurasia or Central Asia sits at the
center of the Asian continent, a region rich in history and
culture. This region benefits from a mixture of national identities
that have been developed carefully for many centuries.
This collection reviews current advances in the breeding and
cultivation of key tropical and subtropical fruits. Chapters
summarise key advances across the value chain for citrus fruit
cultivation, including citrus genetics, nutrition and other aspects
of cultivation, the use of precision agriculture and developments
in integrated pest management (IPM). Two case studies on limes and
mandarins highlight the range of improvements in cultivation. The
book also summarises recent developments in breeding and
cultivation techniques for a range of soft tropical fruits,
including banana, kiwifruit, lychee, papaya, pineapple and
pomegranate. The final part of the book covers developments in
breeding and cultivation techniques for a range of stone and other
tropical fruit, including avocado, coconut, guava, jackfruit,
mangos and olives.
The concept of open innovation (OI) has become a very popular topic
during the last decade, with increasing number of SMEs embracing OI
practices to gain competitive advantage. This edited volume is a
timely opportunity to gather research on OI in SMEs, to investigate
how OI is managed and implemented to determine the peculiarities
compared to OI management in large companies, and to specify the
consequences for future OI research. The book offers insights into
the following topics: The state of the art on open innovation in
SMEs; adopting open innovation in SMEs; interorganizational
networks and innovation ecosystems; sectoral patterns of open
innovation in SMEs; and measuring, evaluating and stimulating open
innovation in SMEs.
The fields of Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT) have seen
tremendous advances, developments, and growth in recent years. The
IoT is the inter-networking of connected smart devices, buildings,
vehicles and other items which are embedded with electronics,
software, sensors and actuators, and network connectivity that
enable these objects to collect and exchange data. The IoT produces
a lot of data. Big data describes very large and complex data sets
that traditional data processing application software is inadequate
to deal with, and the use of analytical methods to extract value
from data. This edited book covers analytical techniques for
handling the huge amount of data generated by the Internet of
Things, from architectures and platforms to security and privacy
issues, applications, and challenges as well as future directions.

This book is based on the role of co-morbid disorder; beta
thalassemia minor with iron deficiency anemia in the promulgation
of beta thalassemia gene. This book explain the pathophysiology of
co-morbid condition and its effect on hematological parameters and
Hb-A2 levels. This book is useful for the medical students, general
physicians, consultant hematologist and Pathologist. In the areas
where beta thalassemia is more common genetic disorder this book
will proved as useful tool to stop the propagation of beta
thalassemia gene in homozygous state
The Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL)is now become a fast and
routine procedure for nephrolithiasis in most urological centres.
The aim of study is to assess the changes in standard procedure and
its outcome on patient morbidity. As we discussed that the
conventional procedure need the placement of nephrostomy tube, so
we assess, is the nephrostomy tube, is really worthwhile after
procedure? if needed, is it necessary to put the large bore tube
instead of small bore tube. we compare, the outcome of large bore,
with small bore, and tubeless PCNL. we comes on conclusion, that
patients with tubeless have definitely edge over those group having
nephrostomy tube, with no added morbidity.
Laboratory study was conducted to examine whether there is any
beneficial effect of magnetically treated water on its quality and
seedling emergence in sandculture. Water of various types like tap
water, saline water, canal water and sewerage water was applied.
Results revealed that the application of magnetized water promoted
the germination rate of maize seeds, regardless of magnetic
strength or flow rate. Seeds irrigated with magnetized water grew
faster, higher and heavier than the untreated water and a
significant effect appear with magnetized sewerage water. On the
other hand, there was negligible effect of magnetically treated
water on quality parameters like EC, pH, and SAR. The results are
presented in this book that certainly enhance learning among
researcher, scientists and students and helps planning research
studies The authors appreciate the efforts of Barthlemy Chaton and
his team in facilitating during book finalization and highly
acknowledge publishing of this book by LAMBERT Publishing House
Ltd., for technical knowledge sharing internationally.
However most of the previous research in TQM and service quality is
based in developed countries. This research is an effort to reduce
the existing gap of developing countries based TQM and service
quality studies. The research is divided into two sections. In
first section, survey questionnaire obtained from 51 pharmaceutical
distributors is used to identify critical success factors of TQM.
Relationship of TQM implementation to customer satisfaction is also
developed in this portion of research. Second portion of research
is related to development of service quality scale in
distributors-retailers interface of pharmaceutical supply chains.
Data collected from 413 respondents was analyzed. Structural
equation modeling using AMOS 7.0 software developed a valid and
reliable scale comprising of 4 dimensions and 10 items. This
research has practical implications for pharmaceutical distribution
companies as it identifies that top management has to increase its
commitment for the implementation of TQM. Research also develops a
reliable and valid scale that can be used by to increase service
quality in distributors-retailers interface of pharmaceutical
supply chains in Pakistan.
