Woody Harrelson stars in this drama co-written by James Ellroy, telling the story of a corrupt cop whose destructive streak is wreaking havoc in both his personal and professional life. The film tracks the downward spiral of Dave 'Date Rape' Brown (Harrelson), a veteran police officer who has become infamous for his repeated misconduct while working for the LAPD's infamous Rampart Division. But despite being proud of his reputation as a compulsive womaniser, alcoholic, racist and all-round manipulator and bully, Dave does show a flicker of humanity when it comes to his two daughters, who live in the house next door with his two ex-wives (Anne Heche and Cynthia Nixon).

Ageing television presenter Howard Beale (Peter Finch) is on the edge of a mental breakdown when he is fired. He decides to open his heart to his audience, breaking down live on TV. Incredibly, this boosts his ratings, and Beale is re-hired and given his own show on which he can scream and shout. The film won three Oscars, with Paddy Chayevsky winning an award for the Best Original Screenplay.

Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford star in this political thriller about the Watergate scandal that brought down President Nixon. Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein (Hoffman) and Bob Woodward (Redford), aided by the White House mole Deep Throat (Hal Holbrook), thwart Nixon's attempted cover-up after his agents are caught breaking in to the Watergate complex in 1972. Top of Rango's priority list in his new position is to find out what is happening with the town's dangerously low water supply. He uncovers a conspiracy that goes right to the heart of the town's power structure; one that will require the intervention of a true hero to overturn. Is Rango up to the task? The movie won the 2012 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.

Third instalment in the Pixar/Disney CGI-animated series, filmed for theatrical release using Disney Digital 3D. When their owner, Andy (voiced by John Morris), clears out his bedroom in preparation for starting college, Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and the rest of the toy-box gang are dumped in the donations box at a local nursery school and find themselves at the mercy of a horde of wild, sticky-fingered toddlers. As they struggle to stay together while coping with the chaos, the gang meet a new bunch of toys led by pink teddy bear Lotso (Ned Beatty), while Barbie (Jodie Benson) is at last united with her male counterpart, Ken (Michael Keaton). The yearning to return home cannot be ignored, however, and many comical adventures ensue as the toys make a series of elaborate escape attempts. The film won Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature Film and Music (Original Song).

Superman 2 (1980)

Traveling to Earth, they threaten the planet with destruction at the same time that Superman decides to renounce his superpowers in order to live a normal life as Clark Kent with his new love, Lois Lane (Margot Kidder).

Superman 3 (1983)
Computer programmer Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor) is hired by financial tycoon Ross Webster (Robert Vaughn) to seize control of a weather satellite and annihilate Colombia's coffee crop. When Superman (Christopher Reeve) manages to thwart the plan, Webster commands Gorman to use the satellite to locate kryptonite, the Man of Steel's mortal weakness. But a missing unknown element in the kryptonite -- replaced by Gorman with tar -- causes an unintended side effect when presented to Superman.

Superman 4: The Quest for Peace (1987)
Seeing the United States and the Soviet Union engaged in a nuclear arms race that could lead to Earth's destruction, Superman (Christopher Reeve) decides that he must take action. He collects all the nuclear warheads from the world and throws them into space. Meanwhile, Superman's nemesis, Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman), has broken out of prison with a new scheme. He clones Superman with radioactive material to create Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow), a being just as powerful as the man of steel.

Superman Returns (2006)
Adventure sequel set after the events of 'Superman II'.
