Another adventure for everyone's favourite Time Lord. The Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri arrive in the north of England during the Luddite uprisings, and discover that brilliant but amoral Time Lord the Rani is stealing the chemical which promotes sleep from the mine workers' brains. The Master is also in town, planning to use the disruptive Luddites to deprive the Doctor of his TARDIS and destroy him once and for all.
Four new stories featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown: 1.1 The
Headless Ones by James Parsons and Andrew Stirling-Brown. When a
distress call from an unknown source threatens to rip the TARDIS
from the vortex, the Doctor and Peri arrive in nineteenth-century
Africa hoping to find the cause of the disturbance. Instead, they
meet a British expedition searching for a long lost tribe: the
B’lemyae… better known to the locals as the Headless Ones. 1.2
Like by Jacqueline Rayner. On the Earth colony world Rusina, the
populace strive to be popular. Likes lead to promotions, dislikes
leads to demotion – and more recently, something worse. So when
the Doctor investigates the truth behind their subscriber-led
society, he finds himself about to become very unpopular indeed.
1.3 The Vanity Trap by Stuart Manning. Myrna Kendal used to be a
Hollywood film star. Now she spends her life reminiscing on chat
shows but there is always one unfinished film she refuses to talk
about... at least until the TARDIS interrupts a TV interview, and
the Doctor and Peri’s appearance stirs up long-forgotten
memories. 1.4 Conflict Theory by Nev Fountain. Concerned by the
Doctor’s increasing over-protectiveness, Peri presents him with
an ultimatum: either they seek counselling or she leaves the TARDIS
permanently. Reluctant to lose one of his closest friends, the
Doctor seeks out one of the finest psychoanalysts in the universe:

With the TARDIS working perfectly, the Doctor and Peri decide to
take a holiday. But where? A long-forgotten piece of equipment in
the TARDIS storage locker sends them to the peaceful and idyllic
continent of Tranquela - home of the Doctor's old friend Ravlos.
But the land where they emerge is far from peaceful. A hate ray is
regularly sweeping Tranquela, turning its inhabitants into savage
beasts, and there is only one place it can originate - the planet's
other continent, home of Tranquela's old enemies, the Amelierans.
Or is that the only place? Because somewhere far above the planet
events are watched by the slimy super-salesman, Mordant, who has
his own unscrupulous plans. CAST: Colin Baker (The Doctor), Nicola
Bryant (Peri Brown), Guy Burgess (Escoval), Kim Durham (Abatan),

On the planet Omnia, a young man leads the Doctor and Peri through
the battle-scarred ruins of a city. Among the rubble he shows them
proof that their invaders and new masters, thought to be
invincible, can be defeated. The proof is the blasted, burnt-out
remains of a Dalek. But this is a Dalek-occupied world like few
others. For one thing, there are few Daleks to be seen. And for
another, the Daleks have appointed an Omnian, Magister Carmen Rega,
to govern the planet as their emissary. Why are the Daleks not
present in force? And can the Doctor and Peri risk helping the
Omnians, when the least show of resistance will be met with
devastating reprisals from space? CAST: Colin Baker (The Doctor),

Another adventure for everyone's favourite Time Lord. The TARDIS is
low on Zyton 7, and the only planet with the ore available is
Varos. Upon landing, the Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri discover a
society addicted to real life TV violence, ruled by a corrupt
regime. They have to help the rebel Jondar and thwart the Thoros
Betan delegate, Sil, in his attempts to obtain the Zyton for his
own conglomerate.
Two episodes of the classic sci-fi series featuring the Fifth
Doctor, Peter Davison, and the shape-changing android Kamelion. In
'The King's Demons' (1983), the renegade Time Lord forces Kamelion
(Gerald Flood) to pose as King John in 13th century England.
'Planet of Fire' (1983) sees the Doctor (Davison) and Turlough
(Mark Strickson) arriving in Lanzarote on Earth to investigate the
transmission of an unusual signal that turns out to be emanating
from a mysterious alien artefact.
An early adventure for the sixth incarnation of everyone's
favourite time traveller. The Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri arrive
in 1985 London shortly after avoiding a collision with Halley's
comet, lured by a galactic distress call. They discover that the
city's sewers are populated by Cybermen, intent on changing history
by preventing the destruction of their home planet, Mondas (see
'Doctor Who: The Tenth Planet'). It transpires that the distress
call which attracted the Doctor's attention was sent by none other
than former Dalek ally Commander Lytton, but just whose side is he
on this time?
Another adventure for the sixth incarnation of the intrepid time
traveller. The Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri arrive on the planet
Necros to pay their last respects to deceased agronomist Arthur
Stengos. They discover that his final resting place - Tranquil
Repose - is in fact a front for a Dalek farm run by the Great
Healer, who turns out to be none other than the Doctor's old foe,
Davros.

time travel. The station is invaded, and when Doctor number 6

world. The Doctor has unfinished business with the Arborites,
living trees with long memories. Centuries ago he fought to prevent

Double episode Doctor Who adventure set on the planet Karfel and in
nineteenth century Scotland. The Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) and
Peri, accompanied by a young man named Herbert, become entangled
with the machinations of the despotic Borad. Planet Karfel consists
of a small population ruled by a despotic, Wizard of Oz-like
autocrat called The Borad. The Borad has never been seen in the
flesh - only by means of closed-circuit television monitors wherein
he appears a somber, upright old man. His rule of fear is enforced
rigidly by an army of androids who destroy all dissent in a blink
via the Timelash - an instant and irreversible exile to another,
presumably horrific dimension. One member of the grand counsel
immediately below The Borad, (called the Maylin) is less than happy
with The Borad and seeks 'regime change' at any cost. A race of
former allies called The Bandril sees weakness and opportunity in
The Borad's semi-visible ruling methods and is set to invade. It is
into this volatile situation that the Tardis materializes and our
favourite time travelers are cast.
Three digitally remastered Doctor Who episodes from the 1970s, '80s
and '90s. In 'The Talons of Weng-Chiang' (1977), the Doctor (Tom
Baker) and Leela (Louise Jamison) arrive in Victorian London to
find that galactic war criminal Magnus Greel has created giant rats
in the sewers and is sucking the life essence from young girls to
sustain him in his search for his time cabinet. Aided by Professor
Litefoot and music hall proprietor Henry Jago, the Doctor must stop
Greel (masquerading as the Chinese god Weng Chiang) and his
servants Li H'sen Chang and killer doll Mr Sin. 'The Caves of
Androzani' (1984) represents the final outing for the fifth
incarnation of everyone's favourite Time Lord. The Doctor (Peter
Davison) and Peri (Nicola Bryant) become embroiled in an
underground war of gun running and drug smuggling shortly after
landing on the planet Androzani Minor. Apprehended by the military,
they are rescued from execution by the brilliant but horribly
disfigured criminal, Sharaz Jek, whose infatuation with Peri looks
set to be cut short when he discovers that both she and the Doctor
have contracted the deadly disease Spectrox Toxaemia. The only
possible cure is the milk of the queen bat, which dwells in the
caves currently being roamed by the killer Magma Creature... In
'Doctor Who: The Movie' (1996), the Doctor (Sylvester McCoy)
crashlands the TARDIS on Earth in end-of-century San Francisco
while en route to return the Master's remains to their home planet
of Gallifrey. Gunned down by a street gang, the Doctor is rushed to
hospital, where exploratory surgery by Doctor Grace Holloway
(Daphne Ashbrook) triggers a regeneration. The Master has meanwhile
taken over the body of a paramedic and infiltrated the Doctor's
TARDIS, which he plans to use in his latest scheme to take over the
Doctor's new body and destroy the world. Filmed as the pilot for a
revived 'Doctor Who' series - tailored to the American market -
which subsequently failed to materialise, this feature-length
adventure introduces Paul McGann as the renegade Time Lord.
A selection of weird and wonderful stories from the pages of Doctor
Who Annual, featuring the first six Doctors and their companions.
Jon Culshaw, Frazer Hines, Dan Starkey, Louise Jameson and Nicola
Bryant read a selection of exuberant and colourful tales from the
legendary Doctor Who Annual, a Christmas stocking treat from the
1960s to the 1980s. In Terror on Tiro the First Doctor endures a
punishing journey across an alien landscape in order to find his
friend. Follow the Phantoms takes the Second Doctor, Jamie and
Victoria to a land where the boundaries of time are blurred. The
Third Doctor and Jo find themselves catapulted into The House That
Jack Built, and then Sarah falls under the influence of The
Sinister Sponge. The Fourth Doctor and Leela encounter The
Crocodiles from the Mist, and the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Turlough
join forces with the Brigadier to tackle a threat posed by The
Nemertines. In Beauty and the Beast the Sixth Doctor and Peri enjoy
the delights of an idyllic world - until they discover an
uncomfortable truth beneath the surface. Take a nostalgic journey
through time with these vintage Doctor Who adventures!
Six more thrilling stories of adventure in Time and Space from the
original Doctor Who Annuals. Larger than life and twice as
colourful, from the 1960s to the 1980s the stories within the
Doctor Who Annual were exuberant and charmingly naive. Now, in this
second audio volume, Peter Purves (Steven), Anneke Wills (Polly),
Geoffrey Beevers (the Master), Matthew Waterhouse (Adric) and
Nicola Bryant (Peri) read another selection of these colourful and
energetic tales, with atmospheric sound design. In Peril in
Mechanistria, the First Doctor finds primitive humans enslaved to
machines in a world of metal. The Second Doctor must rescue Ben in
The Sour Note, whilst in Scorched Earth the Third Doctor and Sarah
are challenged by a virulent virus on Varium III. The Fourth Doctor
has Double Trouble after he and his companions return to UNIT HQ,
and then the Fifth Doctor and Adric visit a Planet of Fear.
Finally, in The Radio Waves, the Master schemes to turn Londoners
against politicians and the Royal Family. Can the Sixth Doctor and
Peri stop him? Also included from 1966 is The Equations of Doctor
Who, a vintage essay about the mysteries of the Doctor and his
TARDIS. Take a nostalgic journey through time with these vintage
Doctor Who tales. Duration: 2 hours 20 mins approx.
Nicola Bryant reads a brand new story featuring the Sixth Doctor
and Peri, set in the far future. The TARDIS lands aboard the Sun
God, a vast spaceship carrying executives from a powerful 35th
Century energy company. Peri is menaced by deadly cat-like robots,
whilst the Doctor discovers that Spalding Revere, the company's
founder, has set the ship on course for the heart of a sun.
Spalding's last wish is to take his acolytes with him to the
afterlife, and unless the Doctor can intervene he and Peri will be
going with them. Tensions and in-fighting grow among the staff.
Peri meets Brian, whose half-man/half-insect body has a terrible
significance to Spalding's plan. As the Sun God continues on its
final mission, time is running out for them all... Nicola Bryant,
who played Peri in the TV series, reads this original adventure by
Nev Fountain, featuring the Sixth Doctor as played on TV by Colin
Baker. Reading produced by Neil Gardner Sound design by David
