Roberto Becker widmet sich den bislang vernachlassigten Grundsatzen, die sich mit der ordnungsmassigen Prognosebildung befassen. Ausgehend von der empirischen Erkenntnis, dass Prognoseaussagen und -ankundigungen signifikante Kapitalmarktreaktionen entfalten, und angesichts im Rahmen der Prognoseberichterstattung konstatierter qualitativer Mangel, setzt sich der Autor mit der normativen Entwicklung eines Grundsatzsystems zur Prognosebildung auf Basis der Grundsatze ordnungsmassiger Buchfuhrung auseinander. Ziel ist ein konsistentes und prognosezweckadaquates Grundsatzsystem, das ermoeglicht, eine fundierte und entscheidungsnutzliche Prognose zu bilden bzw. durch Ableiten eines Sollobjekts zu bestatigen.
