Since "The Rosary for Episcopalians" was first compiled and
printed, the requests for it have been constant. It has filled a
need for a form of piety that is alive and well in the Church. It
has been many years since the author was asked by the Grace
Cathedral Bookstore in San Francisco to "write something" about the
Rosary, as they had nothing by an Episco palian on the subject. As
a result, this little book came into being. With the Apostolic
Letter of Pope John Paul II, Rosarium Virginis Mariae, and the crea
tion of the set of "Mysteries of Light," the need to update this
work became ob vious. It is hoped the insertion of the Luminous
Mysteries has been seamless enough not to be distracting." The
change of the title of the work to "The Rosary for Episcopali
ans/Anglicans" is owing to the request of many who wrote from
outside the United States who are members of the worldwide Anglican
Communion. Many Anglicans, they pointed out, don't know what an
Episcopalian is, since we in the United States are the only ones
using the term, and therefore didn't know that the pamphlet was for
them. It is hoped this small volume will be of help to those who
read it and that they may take up the Rosary and use it when they
care to, and make it a part of their spiritual life. Our prayer for
all of those who read this is that the Rosary, as a form of prayer,
may strengthen you, and lead you into the silence of God's
Presence, where you may daily increase in his love and in service
to others. Christ is Risen - From the note to the second edition by
Brother Tom Schultz, O.H.C.
