Trotzdem steht zur klinischen Anwendung nur wenig von diesem Wissen in den Standardlehrbuchern der Kinderheilkun de zur Verfiigung. Das vorliegende Buch soli die hier entstandene Lucke schlieBen. Bis in die Mitte der 60er Jahre konzentrierte sich die sportmedizinische Forschung auf den jungen Erwachsenen bzw. auf den Menschen im mitt leren Lebensalter.
