La nueva concepcion curricular de la actual Reforma del Sistema Educativo pone de relieve la necesidad de programar, de forma ordenada, la accion pedagogica y didactica propia del tercer nivel de concrecion. Y, en la realidad docente cotidiana, el profesional de cada area curricular ha de hacer frente, precisamente, a este tercer nivel de concrecion, para lo que requiere de buenos recursos, validos y eficaces, principalmente centrados en el establecimiento de Unidades Didacticas. La UNIDAD DIDCCTICA, entendida como vehiculo directo del proceso completo deensenanza-aprendizaje, es planteada a partir de la ordenacion y secuenciacion de los contenidos b"segundo nivel de concrecion-. Asi pues, las Unidades Didacticas presentadas en esta obra atienden al desarrollo de dos de los grandes bloques de contenidos establecidos para la Educacion Fisica en la Ensenanza Primaria: El cuerpo: imagen y percepcion y El cuerpo: expresion y comunicacion.
