Did the powers of ancient sorcerers and witches fade away over the
millenniums, or are they still known to some? In ancient Celtic
times, a Druid sorcerer does not return from a council, leaving his
apprentice lover to wait. Even his spirit seems to have vanished.
In the twenty-first century, a computer engineer encounters a woman
who introduces him to a world of ancient magic, a world with which
he must become acquainted. She will learn that he holds powers he
does not understand, but which will protect both he and others from
harm.
In the classic film, "Casablanca," everyone fades into the fog and
that is the end of the story. But actions have consequences, and in
this sequel to "Return From Casablanca," an updated version of the
film's story, the reader learns what happens to the main
characters, Rick Grey, Ari Levy and Anya (Sharansky) Levy after
they all "fade to black" and the credits roll. Ari Levy returns to
the field and travels to the United States to track down and
assassinate a terrorist, but is he ready for the mission? Ghosts of
people he has killed haunt his conscience and his dreams,
destroying his confidence. Reacting to the threat, Ari pushes hard
against everything, and everyone, that he loves, including his wife
Anya, who risked much to save him in Casablanca. Anya turns to the
only person she trusts, former CIA operative Rick Grey, now
retired. Rick has settled down in the mountains of Western
Virginia. but now, he has to wrestle with his own feelings for
Anya. He has sacrificed much in service to his country, and wants
what he missed, what Anya may be offering.

Everyone downloads apps for their phones or computers. Do they ever
read the "Terms and Conditions?" Do they just check that they did,
and agree to them? Is the "legalese" just too bothersome? After
all, it's just an app, right? A computer whiz and self-confessed
"geek," J.T., finds that the answer to that question is a perilous
"No." He explores the nature of an increasingly popular app, as his
girlfriend, and many others, innocently fall into the diabolical
trap it sets for the unsuspecting. J.T. engages in a technological
battle of wits against a formidable and very experienced foe, an
enemy he cannot bring himself to acknowledge.
The classic film "Casablanca" provides the inspiration for this
novel, but its plot is straight out of today's news. An American
with a shadowy history is now living in Casablanca. He is visited
by a beautiful woman, out of his past, Anya. She needs help
bringing her husband, a Mossad operative, out of a deep cover
operation in a terrorist cell, one that has laid claim to the name
and reputation of a notorious group from the 1970's. Anya's
husband, however, has learned of a massive terrorist operation
planned by the group he has infiltrated. His agency wants more
information, so they won't pull him out. But does Rick Grey even
want to help? The race is on to bring her husband from the shadows,
while others work to prevent the plot from reaching its horrible
conclusion.
