The Special Kid is about a young boy who began school in a segregated "special needs" class. However, because he worked so diligently, he earned the right to become a member of a regular classroom. This tale tells of how a little boy became a great man through hard work, determination and acceptance. I hope this saga helps people realize that just because a child has a special need or disability, it does not mean that one should expect less from that child. Children who start life with limitations may still excel in intelligence and creativity or even become accomplished athletes. Given the opportunity, they may accomplish great things.
Numbers All in a Row is a book that helps children with learning numbers zero to twenty. It uses rhyme and rhythm, as well as memory association. Some of the numbers give clues on how to write or form the number. Each number is represented by the numeral and the number word, and can be located somewhere in the illustration. Numbers All in a Row can be used by teachers and parents alike as an aid in helping children learn their numbers zero to twenty.
United We Stand, A Story About Two Bullies-tells the story of two boys who bully and tease the kids at their school. The kids are always afraid and never feel safe. Then one day a new girl comes to their school and with her help the kids form a plan to stop the bullies. Bullying is at the top of kids issues at school and is also the most minimized and persistent problems in our schools today. I hope this book helps kids realize that everyone is different in some way and it is never acceptable to bully or tease anyone.
