This book is a Festschrift to Annamaria Simonazzi and embraces the themes that she has contributed to over the years through her insightful and inspiring works. It brings together contributions from a number of distinguished European economists, which pay tribute to her by engaging in a dialogue with her research, simultaneously reflecting on the process of growing economic disintegration in the European Union, its causes and its possible remedies. The book shows the deep interrelations between macroeconomic issues and the social sphere, and points to the need to rethink the very foundations of European economic policies as an effective antidote to growing imbalances and disintegration. In particular, the effects of austerity are assessed alongside the dimensions of inequality, gender discrimination, poverty, and unemployment, broadening the perspective also beyond the Eurozone. Exacerbated by the Great Recession, youth transitions to employment and adulthood have become increasingly protracted, precarious, and differentiated by gender, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. Youth Labor in Transition examines young people's integration into employment, alongside the decisions and consequences of migrating to find work and later returning home. The authors identify key policy challenges for the future related to NEETS, overeducation, self-employment, and ethnic differences in outcomes. This illustrates the need to encompass a wider understanding of youth employment and job insecurity by including an analysis of economic production and how it relates to social reproduction of labor if policy intervention is to be effective. The mapping and extensive analysis in this book are the result of a 31/2-year, European Union-funded research project (Strategic Transitions for Youth Labour in Europe, or STYLE; http://www.style-research.eu) coordinated by Jacqueline O'Reilly. With an overall budget of just under 5 million euros and involving 25 research partners; an international advisory network and local advisory boards of employers, unions, and policymakers; and non-governmental organizations from more than 20 European countries, STYLE is one of the largest European Commission-funded research projects to exist on this topic. Consequently, this book will appeal to an array of audiences, including academic and policy researchers in sociology, political science, economics, management studies, and more particular labor market and social policy; policy communities; and bachelor's- and master's-level students in courses on European studies or any of the aforementioned subject areas.

El proyecto Pedagogico Investigativo se desarrolla en la Licenciatura en Educacion con Enfasis en Educacion Especial de la Universidad Pedagogica Nacional sede Bogota, tiene como objetivo desarrollar las orientaciones pedagogicas que favorecen la formacion profesional de la poblacion con capacidades diversas en los cursos a la medida del Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) para lograr asi su Inclusion Sociolaboral en diferentes areas del sector productivo. En el proceso se utiliza una metodologia investigativa Holistica. Se propone una ruta de accion que involucra el proceso de induccion, estrategias pedagogicas fundamentadas en los estilos de aprendizaje y ensenanza, guia de seguimiento pedagogico para aprendices donde se abordan diferentes dimensiones de desarrollo, cartilla de apoyo de instructoras y los fundamentos para la construccion de los lineamientos formativos a nivel laboral de la poblacion."
