demanding and exciting aspects of the information era. The book
discusses new challenges faced by researchers in dealing with these
large-scale data and also presents innovative solutions to address
several potential research problems, e.g., enabling comprehensive
visual classification to fill the semantic gap by exploring
large-scale data, offering a promising frontier for detailed
multimedia understanding, as well as extract patterns and making
effective decisions by analyzing the large collection of data.

This book aims at offering a unique collection of ideas and
experiences mainly focusing on the main streams and merger of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) for a
wide slice of the communication and networking community. In the
era when the world is grappling with many unforeseen challenges,
scientists and researchers are envisioning smart cyber systems that
guarantee sustainable development for a better human life. The main
contributors that destined to play a huge role in developing such
systems, among others, are AI and IoT. While AI provides
intelligence to machines and data by identifying patterns,
developing predictions, and detecting anomalies, IoT performs as a
nerve system by connecting a huge number of machines and capturing
an enormous amount of data. AI-enabled IoT, therefore, redefines
the way industries, businesses, and economies function with
increased automation and efficiency and reduced human interaction
and costs. This book is an attempt to publish innovative ideas,
emerging trends, implementation experience, and use-cases
pertaining to the merger of AI and IoT. The primary market of this
book is centered around students, researchers, academicians,
industrialists, entrepreneurs, and professionals working in
electrical/computer engineering, IT, telecom/electronic
engineering, and related fields. The secondary market of this book
is related to individuals working in the fields such as finance,
management, mathematics, physics, environment, mechatronics, and
the automation industry.

these bioactive components Reviews the applications of mushrooms in
environmental pollution reduction Covers different cultivation
strategies of edible and medicinal mushrooms The book also explores
the role of mushrooms in the degradation of harmful xenobiotic
compounds as well as reduction of pesticides. It discusses the
utilization of wild mushrooms in waste management and cultivation
of wild mushroom using lignocellulosic biomass-based residue as a

With the help of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big
data analytics, the internet of things (IoT) is creating
partnerships within industry where machines, processes, and humans
communicate with one another. As this radically changes traditional
industrial operations, this results in the rapid design, cheap
manufacture, and effective customization of products. Answering the
growing demand of customers and their preferences has become a
challenge for such partnerships. Industrial Internet of Things and
Cyber-Physical Systems: Transforming the Conventional to Digital is
a collection of innovative research that discusses development,
implementation, and business impacts of IoT technologies on
sustainable societal development and improved life quality.
Highlighting a wide range of topics such as green technologies,
wireless networks, and IoT policy, this book is ideally designed
for technology developers, entrepreneurs, industrialists,
programmers, engineers, technicians, researchers, academicians, and
students.

Machine Learning, Big Data, and IoT for Medical Informatics focuses
on the latest techniques adopted in the field of medical
informatics. In medical informatics, machine learning, big data,
and IOT-based techniques play a significant role in disease
diagnosis and its prediction. In the medical field, the structure
of data is equally important for accurate predictive analytics due
to heterogeneity of data such as ECG data, X-ray data, and image
data. Thus, this book focuses on the usability of machine learning,
big data, and IOT-based techniques in handling structured and
unstructured data. It also emphasizes on the privacy preservation
techniques of medical data. This volume can be used as a reference
book for scientists, researchers, practitioners, and academicians
working in the field of intelligent medical informatics. In
addition, it can also be used as a reference book for both
undergraduate and graduate courses such as medical informatics,
machine learning, big data, and IoT.

The book covers the entire field of Biotechnological potentials and
successes in one volume. In the present treatise an attempt has been
made to compile the various aspects of biotechnological techniques
from the viewpoint of a novice in the field as a reader or those
who do not have formal education in the field of biotechnology. The
most spectacular examples of successes already accrued or at the
verge of accrual have in general been reffered. The book has been
organizes into six chapters in which the potentials and most
important examples of successes has been described in general. The
chapters consisted of (1) Crop husbandry: agricultural
plants/crops. (2) Microbial and industrial products. (3)
Pharmaceutical and healthcare. (4) Animal husbandry: farm/model
animals. (5) Management of the environment and (6) some aspects of
Nano-biotechnology. We are of the opinion that a common man or a
general learner in the society will be having an inkling of the
potentials or successes that can be made in this field. Apart from
this, graduate, postgraduate and shcool children of various hues in
the society will also find it interesting and refreshing.
Sustainable crop production is a challenge towards modern
agriculture. So, we need to develop and adopt such kind of
innovative techniques who can produce more with limited resources,
which must be suitable for various crops and cropping systems. As
there is a direct relation between tillage and production. The
present manuscript is covering some cost effective techniques or
agronomic manipulations which may be adopted by farmers under
limited resources, which will not only enhance their returns but
also an Eco-friendly approach. By doing so we can surly overcome
the scarcity of resources like soil, water, air, fuel etc. This
book must be helpful for the researchers, scientists, students,
farmers and persons engaged or interested in the agricultural
activities, with focus on conservation agriculture.
The book covers the entire field of Cucumber viruses in one volume.
Crops are continues damaged by a number of pest and diseases. Apart
from fungal and bacterial diseases, a number of viral diseases have
also been reported on cultivated cucurbits in recent year. Among
these Cucumber mosaic viruses and its strain, Squash mosaic virus,
Melon mosaic virus, bottle gourd mosaic viruses are important
because of their worldwide distribution. This study concluded that
characterization of virus, symptom, transmission, host range,
biophysical characteristics, molecular tools, screening and
antiviral agent etc. The selection/choice of data/details reflects
the shortcomings of the author, but in general it covers a large
part of syllabus of basic plant virology in most of the research
institute. It is hoped that the student and teachers will find this
book useful as part of research in Botany/Biotechnology/Plant
virology.
In recent years science and technology have made big steps,
allowing us to greatly improve knowledge in basically every aspect
of biology, culminating in the mapping of the human genome.
However, although the brain is considered our most vital organ, the
essence of personality and memory, much about the human brain still
remains a mystery. Morphological analyses seemed to support the
idea that senescence was accompanied by neuronal loss, particularly
evident in the cortical and hippocampal structures. The work
embodied in this book was carried out to find out whether
administration of neuroprotective and anti-aging compound
dehydroepiendrosterone (DHEA) at different ages of the animals
prevents the delay of biochemical, molecular, structural and
physiological alterations know to the neurological disease
associated with aging. Based on study, the DHEA beneficial effects
seemed to arise from their antioxidative, antiobesity,
antilipofuscin and antilipidperoxidative actions.
