Collection of four action adventures featuring the DC Comics superhero.
In 'Batman' (1989) the streets of Gotham City are no longer safe for
criminals, who are being picked off by a masked vigilante in a rubber
suit - dubbed 'Batman' by the press. Reporter Alexander Knox (Robert
Wuhl) teams with photographer Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) in an attempt
to discover Batman's true identity - an investigation which leads them
to the door of mysterious millionaire Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton).
It is Oklahoma, 1873. Jed Cooper (Clint Eastwood) is mistaken for a murderous rustler and taken to be hanged by corrupt lawman Captain Wilson (Ed Begley). However, he survives the hanging and is rescued by a local sheriff. Cooper vows revenge upon Wilson and takes a job as a deputy sheriff, determined to restore law and order to Oklahoma.
The complete seven seasons of the original mystery and suspense series hosted by the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock. Each 30-minute episode includes opening and closing monologues by Hitchcock who explains some aspect of the day's story in his inimitably dry, humorous monotone.
Tim Burton directs this big screen outing for the caped crusader. Tim Burton returns to direct this action sequel with Michael Keaton
reprising his role as the caped crusader. 33 years after being
abandoned as a baby, Oswald Cobblepot (Danny DeVito) returns to Gotham
City, bent on revenge, as the Penguin. He begins a warped campaign to
become mayor of Gotham, helped by millionaire businessman Max Shreck
(Christopher Walken) and undertakes a mission to murder every firstborn
son in the city - a plan which will avenge his own beginnings.
Sequel to Tim Burton's hugely successful 'Batman' (1989). Oswald Cobblepot was abandoned by his parents as a baby. Thirty three years later, bent on revenge, he returns to Gotham City as the Penguin (Danny DeVito). First he begins a warped campaign to become Mayor, helped by millionaire businessman Max Shreck (Christopher Walken); next, he undertakes a mission to murder every first born son in Gotham - a plan which will avenge his own beginnings. Meanwhile, he has two adversaries to contend with: Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer), the embittered ex-secretary of Max Shreck, and, of course, the old caped crusader himself - Batman (Michael Keaton).
Remake of the 1971 blaxploitation classic with Samuel L. Jackson taking over from Richard Roundtree in the title role. When waitress Diane (Toni Collette) sees ultra-rich playboy Wade (Christian Bale) murder a young black man outside a nightclub, she knows that she will be next and promptly goes into hiding. Enter Armani-wearing supercop John Shaft (Jackson), the only man who cares enough to bring Wade to justice, and Diane's only hope of survival. Wade pays the drug-boss Peoples Hernandez (Jeffrey Wright) to have Diane killed, but Shaft is also hot on her trail and he's not a man put off easily. Shoot-outs and car chases follow.
